  1. her post about shit not happening to her but for her (whatever that means) leads me to believe that something negative has happened to her in connection to Gn'R or in her personal life like you said. If true, I hope she's alright, she seems like a nice person. (her artistic choices aside)
  2. it's very possible that there are versions of these tunes which have complete lyrics and vocals imo
  3. it's weird that it doesn't work, trying to apply logic to Axl, but imo it's not possible. His perspective is probably too different and it doesn't make sense to us because it's too far from what most people in his position would probably do in a similar situation. Most musicians does not apply. He's not going to change, but imho, I think it's highly likely that a song or two are released this year or at least that soon is the word when it comes to at least another tune released.
  4. Gn'R is not punk or cool enough for the writer of this review. He sounds like a snob imo and I think it doesn't really represents Gn'R in an accurate way when they are described as macho and it was always the type of band where more is more. Axl's current singing voice is not for everyone, that's valid but other than that, I'm not sure what show this dude was watching, he seems to not be into Gn'R in the first place. A few funny descriptions in there though, so not a waste of time to read imo, even if I found it to be quite harsh and unforgiving. Axl sang Reckless Life just fine for example I think and a most of the show was strong vocally as well so this particular reviewer seems kinda biased and even closed minded.
  5. very good show with lots of cool moments. The mix was surprisingly awful, but whatever. It's another show where Axl gave it his all. watching it, it felt like Gn'R belonged there with how receptive the crowd seemed to be. They pretty much nailed it in the areas where it mattered most musically. Also nice to see how happy Axl seemed to be on that stage.
  6. I don't feel strongly enough about anyone here that I would block them, but I'm not trying to explain to you rocket science here, just my opinion which you seemed to understand perfectly in the past. making it about them is when you decide that it must be a character flaw in the poster that disagrees with you and not the possibility that you were/are wrong which seems to maybe hurt your fragile ego.
  7. you made it seem like Glasto could be very damaging to Gn'R or at least that's how I took it. Now, the worst that could happen is some people might "take the piss" that's the backpedaling imo. not sure you're capable of discussing shit with people that disagree with you without making it about them which makes it tedious. Enjoy the show.
  8. oh yes, you like to make it about the poster that disagrees with you and make it about them when you've got nothing and you need to backpedal. I'm not playing this shit game with you man.
  9. it's not that difficult to understand, especially when I've explained it in this thread to you many times. And again, just in case you need me to say it one more time, I think it's an important festival, but not as important as you seem to think it is, cause again, Gn'R will be fine either way. Thanks, I will.
  10. I think it's more an issue with you moving the goal posts like you often do, not detecting sarcasm which is fine if it was not for the fact that we've discussed this shit already in the past. I think you blow shit out of proportion a little bit when it comes to Glasto, but I don't want to be more annoying and derail this thread.
  11. look... I recognize how cool and important Glastonbury is, I just don't think it means that being important for Gn'R means there is potential damage for their revenue or significant potential damage for their reputation, regardless of what musically happens at this show. I hope they knock it out of the park or at least it's going to be a strong show for Axl.
  12. all I'm saying is that Axl seems like a sensitive guy, and I don't want people to mock Gn'R and for their immaculate reputation to be ruined. Maybe this show is too much potential risk for Gn'R.
  13. so it was just the risk of people "taking the piss". In that case, Axl better deliver a brilliant performance, there is so much at stake here.
  14. and Gn'R will be fine, as well, even if they deliver a weak show at this big important festival.
  15. I hope Arctic Monkeys are not going to retire after their uneven Glastonbury performance, but it's probably over for them now. Had a good run though.
  16. my opinion hasn't changed about this topic. It's an important festival with a rich history, but I believe that even a really weak Gn'R show won't do that much damage if at all to ticket sales.
  17. me, cause I don't care that the material is old, never came out, or how dumb the song titles were/are. You're asking who cares about unreleased music which contains Axl's vocals and melodies in a Gn'R forum. It's not like he's releasing new material, is he.
  18. pure speculation, but I imagine that Axl, as a younger guy, had more anxiety issues before going on stage and he gave himself the right to feel totally ready before he went up there. I'm guessing now he's at a much more calm place. This is a good thing for Gn'R and us as well, cause if true, maybe he's mature enough to be a littme more stable and maybe even content.
  19. I kinda wish Axl will be 4 hours late to a random show just cause he wanted a lamb roast or watched a really intense NBA game, just to shake things up and see how Slash reacts to it.
  20. it seems Axl prefers to release what he has during a tour so I'd say it's likely, but on the other hand, Axl is very unpredictable so you never know.
  21. my guess is we're tottally going to get old new tunes but it's gonna be fed to use 1 Chinese tune at a time until we have 2 to 4 more songs released. I think Axl wants to kinda milk it for all it's worth, the tunes Slash and Duff rerecorded bass and guitar. After that, who knows.
