  1. the post you make when you've got nothing. what new album? no idea what you're talking about.
  2. another very good example of what I was talking about... where in any of my posts did I say that I think a new album is imminent? you've made this exact same comment in the past. and no, cynicism is not the only way to "handle" or to cope with Axl rarely releasing Gn'R music. that's ridiculous. why would Duff say that we'll get the answer to the question of the release of more material if he knew in absolute certainty that nothing was coming? it makes no sense. I'd say that lowering your expectations and taking everything with a grain of salt is a good approach without making this shit a big deal. at least it's better compared to whatever you're doing which involves ignoring what people are actually posting, including myself, but you do you thing, I was hoping you'll see what I was talking about and maybe take the shitposting down a notch. sometimes it seems that even attempting to be objective is not something you're interested in. just blaming Axl for being himself and not accepting Gn'R for what it is. (not a prolific band) good luck to you in your search of self awareness and have a wonderful day.
  3. sure, it's obvious that the answer is not that, but that particular poster likes to spin shit in a negative way on pretty much every chance he gets, often ignoring what was actually said. (no offense @allwaystired, I've just noticed you doing this shit for years now)
  4. Slash also said that he presses really hard on the strings, that's a part of his playing style which makes a guitar go out of tune even more, especially a LP.
  5. I guess "soon enough" is in this lifetime for most here, unless you get hit by a train or something
  6. yeah the song Duff mentioned he wrote is only a potential Gn'R tune. Bumble also thought his song ideas could make good Gn'R tunes even if he clearly didn't have the same status as Duff. Slash has his Gn'R riffs ideas and there are some rumors by people you've mentioned. all comes down to what Axl wants to do, and how long it would take, but Axl doesn't seem like a guy who likes to do many things at once and he toured for a long time with the NITL lineup. Slash and Duff doing their own thing does make it feel like maybe Axl is on a break, but I think that how jaded Axl made a lot of Gn'R fans feel has made it seem like it most likely would never happen when it comes to more than just a few more old Chinese tunes, and that's not really how I look at it, just that it's all still on Axl time.
  7. no, Metal Chestnut is an instrumental and there is no confirmation that Axl is playing on it.
  8. I think they're a little bit older and wiser now. Slash and Duff don't push Axl anymore to do anything, just there to help him out if/when he wants to rework/create/release more material. there seems to be an understanding between them and no pressure on Axl to meet any deadlines. that could lead even years from now, to an eventual release of a full album, or at least more single releases of old material since reworking a song with existing parts doesn't seem like a difficult task for Slash and Duff to do, and they seem willing to wait for Axl to do it in his own time. given the fact Axl and Gn'R almost don't share any detailed information, I choose to not jump to conclusions about what we'll get, if we get it in the near and distant future. the name of the game here is time. as far as we know, Axl views touring as work and working on Chinese for years could mean he prefers to take even more time between studio projects, especially if it's a Gn'R thing. it's just my take on it, I am more on the optimistic side of a Gn'R fan and shit like the Perhaps music video and the release of the singles makes me think we could get more original cool shit from Gn'R but if it happens, it will involve waiting for it as always.
  9. at first, Slash said they've reworked "a lot" of tunes, but then he wasn't sure about how many tunes he worked on. I'm assuming they've worked on 5-6 tunes, but what's stopping them from reworking more tunes? from the Chinese era or even before that? (other than Axl not being interested which we don't know the status of his current levels of motivation) there's no shortage of ideas to work on according to Duff, there's the option to work on new material as well, and there is plenty of time to make a final record. we have no idea what exactly Axl wants to do, so saying they're going to release just 1 or 2 songs and that's it seems short sighted. Gn'R is not over yet. they have years to make shit happen. if Axl cares about the legacy of Gn'R and he believes the catalog should be extended, there is still a good chance we'll eventually get more than just a few tunes imo.
  10. yeah, but less so. the way I understand it, Duff is basically hinting at more releases that are going to happen which is positive, if you take into consideration that things move very slowly in Gn'R land and are always subject to change but we do have 4 Chinese singles and a leaked Monsters with probably a lot of Chinese era instrumentals to rework should Axl choose to do so and even older material than that possibly exist. if Axl wants to release a final Gn'R album before Gn'R is over, there is still time to do it but that would have to contain at least some brand new material I think. it's difficult to even make an educated guess when it comes to how Axl would approach another release if, for example, what Slash and Duff reworked will also get released and it's only Monsters and maybe another tune. Axl can ask Slash and Duff to rework more Chinese era tunes or focus on working on a full album instead which could be a hybrid of different eras of the band with new material also included. important thing to remember imho is that even if it takes years, it's still possible we'll get something more than just a song or two here and there.
  11. I think there's a difference between taking years to release Gn'R tunes and not having any plans or desire to release more material, even some new stuff. Duff seems confident we'll get more and even says we'll know about it and not in the distant future. considering it's Axl and the history of very little amounts of material getting released, it doesn't seem like much but I believe there is still a lot that Gn'R can do with the amount of material Axl probably got laying around with Slash and Duff there to come up with new ideas for Axl to use. I also think that when it comes to Axl, some things didn't change like how long it takes him to move when it comes to new releases, but it's not like there's still any pressure to release anything so that means Axl can work on it sporadically for example and finish and release material when he chooses to do it. my guess is Axl didn't lose interest in releasing more Gn'R material if Duff is expressing himself in this way in interviews and Slash talking about wanting to do brand new stuff. the 3 of them must have discussed it at least by now and while it's easy to dismiss this shit as not significant cause it's not detailed, I don't see why Duff would be relatively this optimistic and open and not try to avoid the question. would be much safer to give a more "don't get your hopes up" or say again that they want to "keep it mysterious" imo.
  12. sometimes you can read between the lines, and Slash2Baz used to post here too with a lot of info that turned out to be true. he's like one of those rare cases of a super Slash fan insider guy. I hope it's going to be great, time will tell.
  13. they were right in the past about a bunch of Slash related shit if I'm not mistaken
  14. want a brand new Slash album? either it comes with Myles as the singer or it's all covers. honestly, I'm extremely disappointed. This was one of my most anticipated upcoming releases and even without hearing a lick of it, it would be much easier now to wait for its release for me. jumping the gun somewhat though. could still be something cool that I would listen to on a regular basis anyway, but now I know it's a very different product and I think a lot of Slash fans wanted something else. just specualtion, but maybe Slash figured it was time to spice shit up a little after 4 Conspirators records so this was a low effort way for him to do something he was into while having no intention to end the Conspirators.
  15. Aerosmith's blues cover album, Honkin' on Bobo from like 20 years ago was surprisingly good, so you never know. just not really up there in what I personally want from Slash after so many years of him working only with Myles when it comes to full albums of original Slash compositions.
  16. no one cause Slash has a right to decide when and how he wants to announce it and what info and how much of it he's willing to share imo
  17. which is why I said it could still be good and I wonder what Slash can bring to old blues tunes. also said I don't fault Slsah for not saying it was a blues cover album. I was expecting original material, I guess cause in my mind he was just going to do a Slash and friends type of an album but based in traditional blues.
  18. not that I fault Slash for this, but it would have been better imo if he presented this project from the start as a cover album. I wonder what Slash can bring to old blues tunes. it's one thing when The Stones do it for example, it's another when a rock guy like Slash does it. even guys like Clapton and his Robert Johnson cover project kinda make more sense cause he's also a blues player or when Ace did the Origins Volume 1 and 2 covering mostly old rock tunes, again in his genre. this is kinda like Slash's blues ball in studio with guest singers. would have been much more exciting to have Slash just do a second Slash and friends album imho or just a solo record with one good singer other than Myles. I think it makes it more cohesive and flows better when a guitar player that doesn't sing only picks 1 or 2 singers and lets the material do most of the heavy lifting. Slash should do whatever he chooses to do and it's still going to be probably better than nothing. I was just hoping he finally did something a little bit more ambitious.
  19. fuck, Slashfrance is considered reliable right? if true that it's all covers that makes it not as exciting for me at least as a concept. could still be good, was just hoping for original material but Slash is not really a blues player so if true it would make some sense I guess...
