  1. Heard a few more. The McCartney song is fucking brilliant
  2. This new song is fucking awesome. I’d like to see them, still
  3. I haven’t really been following so that’s a bummer if his voice has gotten worse. I thought it was acceptable in person in Boston and was hoping it’d stay at that level for when I see them again next month
  4. Ed Sheeran and Elton John technically surpassed it in terms of dollar amount. Taylor Swift will definitely smash everything when her tour's numbers come out. Either way, it doesn't matter. They are all mega tours. NITL is included in that and GNR continues to be a very steady and reliable touring juggernaut. Even if every single seat isn't occupied. Anyways, I have seen U2 3 times. First was on 360, then one on Innocence + Experience, then one Joshua Tree Tour. I have enjoyed them all but 360 was in a separate league imo. That show was absolutely incredible. It wasn't just due to the massive stage, it truly felt like a generational event like I'm sure Zoo TV or even Popmart did when those tours happened. The aura of the stadium, the setlist, performance, and yes, the stage, really put it up there as one of the best shows I have seen. Probably the best stadium show I have seen from a staging and spectacle perspective
  5. Found some pictures of my trip to London Ontario in 2010 to see GNR! Man, what memories! Cannot believe this was almost 14 years ago
  6. Why would Slash ever leave GnR, again? They’re like VH, Sabbath, Rush, Aerosmith, AC/DC, The Stones etc. Mega legacy acts that can play huge venues for the rest of their career. Some release(d) music, some don’t, but most fans just want the hits, anyways.
  7. Tommy gets a lot of gratitude from me. He is a great part of GNR history imo. It is disappointing if he wasn't great to Bucket or Bumble, but that is all ancient history. When it comes down to it, he rode the entire NuGNR train and that is not something many of them could say. He was a part of all those sessions, a big part of Chinese, and a big part of all the tours. He also handled the reunion and dissolution of NuGNR with a lot of grace (at least publicly). I do hope when he went to those reunion shows him and Axl got to at least share a hello at the very least. Who knows.
  8. Yeah the film for The Wall tour. He kept cutting from the show so we could watch him cry over his dad, again. The Dark Side tour looked awesome. I saw him do The Wall in 2010, and honestly, I loved it. I doubt he played and sang the entire time, but it was such a visual and audio spectacle that it was really cool. Him adding the political themes actually worked for that show. Now, he’s just gone insane. Even if he always was, he’s was at least focused more on the music back then. He would joke on The Wall tour about his younger, angrier self, but it seems that was always there. The new Dark Side redo is shocking. It’s sheer insanity
  9. Yeah, seems he doesn’t want to talk about GNR like any of the old NuGNR members, but that’s what a lot of people would care about Grilling him on the subject would have only made him think you were a knob. I think you did fine
  10. I did like Loki, Spider-Man 3, first half of Wandavision, and Guardians 3, but the rest is meh at best
  11. It all had to come tumbling down, eventually. The fact that they made it through Endgame with such success was a miracle in itself
  12. I'm getting fired up. I wasn't planning on seeing this tour at all and now I'll end up with 2 shows (that's the plan, at least). Even if they aren't at 2016 levels, I still really enjoyed this year's Boston show. This will be my 10th Guns N' Roses show. Pretty cool it will be seeing them in their home turf in Hollywood. Going with my Aunt who is a fan and my fiancé who is not. She's seen Axl/DC and Slash with me, but not GNR. I guess she should see them at least once with me This should be a great little trip for me. My Aunt is a big music fan. She loved Weiland and Velvet Revolver and actually took me to meet Scott at his book signing out there last time I was in LA to visit her in 2011. Now she owns a brewery with her husband so I am excited to see it, hang with them and my cousins, explore LA a bit, and see my 10th Guns show. The General is my big hope. Would also go nuts for TWAT and Locomotive. I think I have a good shot for one of those
  13. That is the hotel I would have suggested but what cemented it for me was at the show he got the town the show was in mixed up with the town that hotel is in. I LOVED The Palace, I am so sad its gone. It was an incredible venue that still felt brand new. So many good memories, there.... What a waste
  14. Sorry the show was a drag, but your recap made me laugh. He just can’t help himself. When he finally put out a concert movie for The Wall, a third of it was him traveling to visit his dads grave- whom I don’t think he’d ever even met! Who would possibly be interested in that sub plot?!
  15. I’m sure it’ll be fine lol. I’m staying in Thousand Oaks, anyways. Might hit up Santa Monica and The Magic Castle while I’m there, idk. It’ll be a quick, 2.5 day trip
