If your metrics is the 'numbers' and'competition' then, yes, KPOP and Justin Bieber are better than Pink Floyd or Black Sabbath. But I can't argue about your point regarding old GNR fans being satisfied with the current state of the band. Of course they're happy seeing idols together having fun. ❤️

What I mean is like stylistically. Structurally maybe. For example, If you're replacing a dark mood shredded solo of Buckethead with a bluesy Slash you're trying to impose an external object not meant to be there. Like a torn in your skin. That's how I see it, but I respect everyone's opinion.

It was indeed a sad era. Though not because of Buckethead & Robin or the outcome which was a masterpiece album. But sad era because of Axl's way of managing things. The new era is not any better. Kiss style Nostalgia act with some butchered single releases here and there. Cheers.

I'm glad it makes fans happy. I'm happy too, though I can't see a point why Slash should redo the old solos that were meant to remain there. But anyway any release is better than nothing. And hey, unlike you who's using lol emojis, I respond by text if I'm opposed to your opinion.

Tool came to my mind a couple of times since I'm a fan. They're weirdos by definition so it's kind of acceptable imo. In terms of fan communications they are not doing that often but once they do, it's very well organized and far from the mess we see in GNR. So in general, I respect Tool as a music band way more than GN'R.

I guess you're an AFD fan and probably think GNR had to stay within that album's range of style for subsequent releases. And nothing wrong with your opinion really. Mind you, songs like Estranged, Don't Cry, The Garden are all miles away from AFD as well. But I personally prefer to see progress in the musicians I follow. In my opinion, we don't need every rock band to follow ACDC's path if you know what I mean. Though it's always cool for a band to revisit the old days every once in a while like Metallica's Death Magnetic.
