  1. You are absolutely correct. That was Hong Kong 2002. The very first 2002 show. Regarding the new year's eve shows, apparently the second Vegas show had the best OMG performance ever: "Axl hitting all his vocals and both lead guitarists shredding every note! One of the night’s highlights was a flawless performance of ‘Oh My God’ – something that hadn’t been pulled off in the band’s previous three gigs" Source: GnrOnTour
  2. Was it the night when Axl had revealed the CD cover art? If yes, was it exactly the same artwork?
  3. This guy has been priming the pumps since 2009. I don't believe a word from him or anyone else including Slash and Duff. Those being around for long time know what I mean.
  4. You can bring back Buckethead and Robin but you can't bring back Axl's voice. So it doesn't work even hypothetically.
  5. Completely agree. Just keep Slash away from any CD material for fuck sake.
  6. Well I can't really comment positive on Ashba era (except maybe 2009-2010) but full respect for 2001-2006 band. Had everything go as planned, this band could get massive. I would say, even outperforming the old band. It's kind of a comedy to see the same exact people who strongly reject or make fun of Nu Guns idea, are getting excited about new singles. Songs that are essentially the works of Robin Finck, Tommy, Buckethead and Brain/Josh. It is very disturbing to hear Slash's half assed solos over these works.
  7. Yea, only to make the fattest comeback years later. Joking...
  8. Same here. I'm still chasing hoarders regarding this tape. It would be very nice to see a rehearsal video of that lineup. And it very well can complement the VMA performance video. Besides there's literally no full proshot footage of any 2002 show except VMAs. The clips from Tacoma and 2002 American Tour promo showing asian shows makes me crave for more. My ultimate dream is to have a 2002 full proshot concert video. The Leeds screen recording is a proof of how exciting such a content could have been.
  9. I get your point. Was the same for me seeing the first photo (and only a photo) of Axl on the stage in RIR a year prior to MTV. It was shocking. But then I watched RIR clips and it gradually grew on me. The new circumstances. So by the time they made the VMA surprise appearance, I wasn't shocked at all. In fact I was already a fan of thr new band. And was following their news when they were in Asia before the MTV gig.
  10. No it wasn't. It was a great promo for 2002 lineup and tour. Unfortunately things didn't go as planned in that show and also for the tour. I remember watching it in 2002 and was super excited about him getting world attention. Also that Madagascar performance was phenomenal.
  11. I generally Haven't been listening to any studio/live GNR for about 3 years except the three newly released songs. But I do play Angel Down occasionally in my car if that counts. As for the studio songs I haven't listened to for probably 8 years or more and I don't miss them, the list is as follows: 1. SCOM 2. You Ain't The First 3. Shotgun Blues 4. My World (probably over 13 years) 5 Riad
  12. Almost my list. I would just add Oh My God. A remastered or enhanced version of it would be awesome. And no Slash or Frank please :-))
  13. This is second appearance of Beta in a GNR music video. The first one was Estranged.
  14. Yea I gotta agree with you. It all feels 2006(ish) to me. Opening up, being in shape, better vocals (not as good as 06 but hey he's 61), Music video (Better 2006 although never released officially)
  15. This is what is expected from Guns N' Roses. Excellent.
  16. This ^ No more leaks please. Unfortunately even this track has leaked somehow and we have a rough idea how it sounds...
