  1. I'm very skeptical about all these theories and possible releases myself but this time there's a reason to believe Perhaps is coming. Although nothing's safe in GNR land.
  2. It wouldn't be the first time that Eddie's predictions and information were wrong. I still hope it's for Schenker's record.
  3. Considering how Richard butchers Izzy's parts, like the Nightrain solo, then I guess I understand Axl.
  4. If I had to choose and it would be safe that Axl's gonna be writing and releasing new music in a normal tempo I'd take new songs of immediately, but in reality we know this ain't gonna happen. Give us what's there with Slash and Duff reworked and then I'm hoping they get Axl in the studio within the next ten years.
  5. That's the killer argument right there. GNR isn't GNR because of the amount of time the classic line up existed. It's because of the music they created in this period. How long was Mr Towel in the band? And still, he's one of the most unnecessary band members in music history.
  6. But that's the point and I have to respect that of course. You became a fan because of CD. Most others became a fan because of the classic rock thing. To them CD was a slap in the face. To me it surely was.
  7. I read that many times...CD the evolved GNR sound. Sorry, but I have to disagree. CD is different music. Simple as that. It's Axl who evolved (in a good or in a bad way is up to the listener) but you can't replace Slash and Izzy with Bucket, Robin, Bumble, Fortus or any of those guitarists and pretend that's the evolved GNR sound. You can like it, love it, whatever, but the music and style is totally different. It's blues based hardrock against... something else Taking away the GNR name could help lowering the expectations but it wouldn't raise quality. For a masterpeace there're too many songs on CD that are lacking quality IMO.
  8. Superior or not, you can't deny Slash's guitar alongside Axl's voice leads to the GNR sound. HS isn't anything special, but none of the CD songs have this signature sound that gives you the feeling to listen to a GNR song.
  9. Hope we get some more info about that soon. Alongside the release of Perhaps and the Michael Schenker project this is truly exciting
  10. A complete new song to me. Only heard a little bit of the soundcheck without vocals but with an uninspired solo. Hope the studio version is better then what I could hear in that low quality recording.
  11. When I first read the interview I also thought the album's done, but after reading some posts here I got the impression that it's not and maybe I misunderstood something. I have to check the interview again.
  12. I've heard a lot of him in the past... a lot of his history, not of his music obviously. I know he was a kid, like 12 or 13 years old, when he first joined the Skorpions on stage. So he has to be very talented. And I read that Slash mentioned him as an influence. Maybe I should discover his early work but I'm definitely looking forward to his new solo record.
  13. Yeah you're right, I don't know. I don't know if Axl will guest either. All I'm saying is that I don't think this will happen. But that doesn't mean anything. Everything could happen. I'm just speculating. Is it finished? Do we know that?
  14. I really don't think Slash will offer other guitarists a guest spot on his album. Most likely he's gonna looking for singers. I don't even know if Schenker sings by himself in his bands but I think he is more of a metal guy. Therefore I don't know if he fits the blues oriented record. I could be wrong though.
  15. Ok... it's confirmed that Slash recorded for Schenker, but it's not confirmed or even mentioned that Schenker's gonna record for Slash, that's why you think it's Schenker who will guest on Slash 2? I'm just asking...
  16. I'd like to hear Axl's take on some songs, including his lyrics and melodies. Hearing his voice on a Slash track can be somehow cool for the moment, but most tracks are lacking more than just the voice.
  17. I'm sorry, but I did my best to forget what I've heard. Can't remember any elephant noise but I assure you, if I want to hear some, I'll visit a zoo.
