  1. Why should they? It's more than ovious these are old tracks. They might don't know them, but I doubt they think these are new tracks. Most likely they don't even know that GNR still releases music at all
  2. Even if it works for someone, for somebody else it may doesn't work. That has nothing to do with disrespect at all.
  3. Lol no, it's an opinion. If that is incredibly arrogant is it then incredibly arrogant to criticise Slash for noodling? I mean it's his artistic choice to play like that. If he thinks it's necessary for the song, how can you criticise that?
  4. That doesn't make sense at all to do it like this with different producers. But it's GnR...
  5. Totally agree. Release all reworked CD era songs at once and close that fucking chapter. Then concentrate on new homogeneous music. That would have happened in a perfect world. I don't think we'll get truly new music written by Axl and Slash, although their attendance on Michael Schenker's album gives somehow hope.
  6. I think "long ass unnecessary" is a pretty accurate description. But I don't get the "atmosphere" thing of CD at all so what do I know...
  7. I know it's GNR but with any other band I'd think they were making a tour documentary or something, with so much backstage scenes they're teasing us right now
  8. Well, if we believe in what Slash said, no, because the plan was to release them separately until they've got enough for an album.
  9. By The Sword is actually one of the songs I'd like to see them doing live. Axl might sound weird on it nowadays but that doesn't prevent him from singing other tunes he struggles with, too.
  10. I also thought about it. What makes me believe this is that they would have mixed all songs they had recorded at once. But it could also be that they weren't happy with the result and had to remix them with somebody else than Karam, which happened with Perhaps. The question is, if Perhaps was among the songs they recorded and mixed during Covid... or was it before? 🤔
  11. I really don't care if it's just a b-side. Much more important to me is, if it's gonna be released as a CD or at least on streaming platforms. But I really want a CD for my collection since my LP player is damaged.
  12. To be fair, at least in my opinion, the guitar solo elevates the song to more than just one level and Axl's screams are great but the songwriting itself like the verses and the chorus is pretty mediocre and far from GNR's best.
  13. It wouldn't change much for the general public but I know my interest would be renewed
  14. I thought about the 17th which is my birthday and because of the bands history (UYI) but it's no Friday, so...
  15. I thought the same but this could be even a little better.
  16. I read that more than once but c'mon, that surely is just a rumor that can't have anything to do with reality.
  17. To watch SMKC live is always a good experience. They're an awesome live band. Despite Myles.
  18. But then you've got also songs like Riad, IRS, If The World and Scraped on CD which are an even bigger departure from the classic GNR sound. I mean, it's really just Axl left and even his voice and his style changed in comparison to the UYIs. But I totally agree with the rest. It's personal preference for hardcore fans. For one it's Axl who is the most important guy in GNR, for the other it might be Slash. But if viewed objectively everybody has to admit that it's both, Axl and Slash, who defined the GNR sound. It's those two why the stadiums are packed again. Everybody else is exchangeable.
  19. Why not. I don't think they will be able to fill stadiums forever. Especially when they won't release any NEW music. Releasing a full album from time to time, like ACDC does, would help to keep the shows fresh. They have a lot of hits but still a very small discography to keep the show exciting for many more years.
  20. Of course it is. Just like with BH and Hard Skool. Either that or it's an artistic choice. But since the contributions are so small and without any impact to the actual songs I tend to believe it's a nice gesture of Axl.
  21. I'd be afraid a completely new recording might couldn't live up to the expectations.
