I was thinking about that too. Colors with Black Pumas comes to mind, which is pretty cool as well, but other than that I can’t think of a collaboration that good in recent years. Emerald with Ace Frehley was also fun but quite some time has past now since that one was released.

Don’t look at them as hints to Axl. Look at them as gifts to the fans. Songs you won’t hear otherwise at any GNR show. And songs he isn’t tired of playing each night for years now.

I didn’t mean that he hit every note but comparing that to the DDM solo where he played something totally different, this one was very close

Not an easy song to do live but Todd did well. Slash played the solo almost note for note as well. Good rendition.

But it wasn’t hyped by Axl or the band. It was hyped by the fanbase, all because of some euphoric statements by Sebastian Bach although nobody knows if he confused songs he heard. I could imagine the hype is one reason why this song gets treated like it this. It simply can’t live up to the hype

The story came up first when, in 2016? When the reunion happened and it became public that Axl’s gonna front ACDC? Firts time anybody has heard of him in decades outside of the fanbase. It didn’t effect his career then and it won’t now. That woman isn’t very reliable at all.

I think the chorus works only in the context. I agree that it doesn’t fit naturally. A dark agressive chorus like the one of The General would fit better. Having said that, Slash’s lead melodies are based on the happy mooded chorus so that wouldn’t fit either. They should have found a way to combine these two tracks into one great epic, imo. Monsters still works for me because I like the chorus and the outro on their own as well as the verses and bridge. It’s the lack of homogeneity which is a little annoying, similar to the beginning of TWAT or Better. I learned to live with that, too.

That’s what I meant with the quotes. I wouldn’t mind them either but this part is ridiculously long and the music way to good to get buried underneath ’em.

Madagascar could have been in my top3 ChiDem songs if it weren’t for those quotes that ruin the experience for me. A great example of the phrase “less is more”. Axl sounds amazing on it. Sorry is simple but great. An atmospheric tune with BH’s most tasteful guitar solo imo. Even if the guitar work on TWAT and on some of his solo albums are more impressive and technically superior to Sorry, I have never heard him do better, it’s short and crisp, almost perfection.

I’d rather have Izzy’s idea with him snd Duff sharing lead vocals. Izzy, Slash, Duff and Matt… you don’t need anything more

I’m not arguing with you about the mixing or the mastering. But that’s not the bands job, it’s Axl’s and Caram’s.

You can praise them as long as you want but as long as I have my own ears I know it’s garbage what you are listening to. No offense, you can listen to what ever you want but now that I know what these demos sound like, I don’t have to rely on other people’s opinion. Cohesive would be the last adjective that comes to mind when listening to those.

No, it speaks volumes about the fanbase who praise these rough mixes.

I know I’m in the minority but think IFW is better than songs like Catcher, SOD and Shackler’s.

Of course they did and it was necessary. It always makes me laugh when I read how much better the village leaks are. Atlas is the same kind of a mess, but I doubt Slash and Duff can polish that turd.

Slash’s guitar work troughout the song is more interesting then the solo itself
