  1. Compiling those old demos of mine has inspired me to make some more new music: https://nunohenrysilva.bandcamp.com/album/the-orange-e-p @CosmoFYI in case you’re still interested.
  2. Apparently this comes from the Australian iTunes Store: Slash’s Orgy of the Damned out May 17th 1. The Pusher (feat. Chris Robinson) 2. Crossroads (feat. Gary Clark Jr.) 3. Hoochie Coochie Man (feat. Billy Gibbons) 4. Oh Well (feat. Chris Stapleton) 5. Key to the Highway (feat. Dorothy) 6. Awful Dream (feat. Iggy Pop) 7. Born Under a Bad Sign (feat. Paul Rodgers) 8. Papa Was a Rolling Stone (feat. Demi Lovato) 9. Killing Floor (feat. Brian Johnson) 10. Living for the City (feat. Tash Neal) 11. Stormy Day (feat. Beth Hart) 12. Metal Chesnut “Killing Floor” is the first single. Must be awkward for Axl to see Slash collab with the guy he replaced in acdc lol.
  3. I just released another album of old demos I had lying around (a "sequel" to my album from last month): https://nunohenrysilva.bandcamp.com/album/scrapbook-ii @Cosmo figured I’d tag you since you enjoyed my last release ^^^
  4. 1.This I Love, 2.I.R.S., 3.Better, 4.There Was a Time, 5.Sorry, 6.Prostitute, 7.Perhaps, 8.If the World, 9.Hard Skool, 10.Street of Dreams, 11.Shackler’s Revenge, 12.Madagascar (the audio collage part ruins it for me), 13.Oh My God, 14.Absurd, 15.Riad N’ the Bedouins (would be higher without the intro), 16.Chinese Democracy (same thing), 17.Catcher in the Rye (Brian May demo was much better), 18.The General (remind me to never listen to Baz again), 19.Scraped Monsters would be somewhere in the Top 10, but I’m leaving it off since it’s not officially released (yet). Not sure where other stuff like Atlas or SoG would land. Need to hear the final versions of those first (assuming they even exist).
  5. I’m slowly starting to get back into music, so I compiled a bunch of old instrumental demos of mine into a new album called Scrapbook: https://nunohenrysilva.bandcamp.com/album/scrapbook Enjoy.
  6. Remember when slash did the Super Bowl with the black eyed peas and they made him play the SCOM riff and wear a glitter suit/hat? I’m still trying to bleach that night from my brain, 13 years later…
  7. They did a pre-Super Bowl thing with Snoop Dogg in 2020, but it wasn’t televised.
  8. It puts the lotion in the basket or else it gets the hose again…
  9. He did say that the only guitarist he got along with the entire time was Finck, so he did shit on Ashba indirectly (and everyone else, for that matter). Whats interesting is that Slash, Duff, Matt, and now Stinson have either directly or indirectly shat on Paul Tobias. That dude must be really difficult to get along with…
  10. It’d be funny if Chris Chainey really does end up being the new bassist for a few reasons: 1.Just like Axl and Matt Laug, he’s also worked with Slash in the past (for the 2010 album). 2.When Taylor Hawkins first recruited him for Alanis Morrisette’s band way back in 1995, he didn’t even like rock, and now he’s about to join the biggest rock band of them all. 3.Duff almost got this gig instead it seems, and he and Duff both had stints in Jane’s Addiction.
  11. Exactly. I bet if Josh never got fired, the only Getaway songs they’d be playing still now are Dark Necessities and Goodbye Angels anyways, and maybe others like Dreams of a Samurai and Encore on occasion.
  12. To be fair, by the time they were touring The Getaway, they already weren’t playing as many I’m With You songs. When I saw them in 2017, the only IWY song they did was Raindance Maggie, if I recall correctly. I agree that it was cool of them to bring back Aeroplane around that time, though, and it’d be nice if John played at least one Josh song out of respect. I think John is a much better fit for the band chemistry-wise, but I do miss all of Josh’s teases of the deep cuts.
  13. Both new RHCP albums hit #1 on the charts and the tour was very successful. So at least from a financial standpoint, the RHCP reunion was not a “failure.”
  14. Faith No More’s reunion run from 2009-2016 was also good. Great live shows where they performed a lot of deep cuts, and a solid new album. Shame that the 2020-2022 tour plans fell apart due to Covid, and Patton’s issues. Sounds like FNM is done for real this time :/
  15. They’re already using a drummer from Slash’s Snakepit, and Axl has already replaced Brian before, so might as well…
  16. It’s only been a few days, and I think I already give up on dating again. I genuinely think I’m happier alone (however weird that may seem).
  17. I’m starting to get back into the dating pool for the first time since right before the pandemic. Needed to take a few years off to work on myself after my last situationship ended in a shit show. Having to change jobs and move as a result of the pandemic didn’t help either. Ultimately though I’m also happy being on my own these days, so if it stays that way then so be it.
  18. Was it recently? There were rumors about them dropping an album in June of last year, but it never materialized.
  19. Probably gonna go see The Orwells in March. I know they have a dark past, but I still like their music and would enjoy hearing it live.
  20. Where did you hear rumblings about another RHCP album?
  21. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure the only gigs the band did in 1989 were the filming of the ISE video at the cat club and the four gigs with the stones at the LA Colosseum. He must be talking about 1988 instead. Pretty sure The Replacements were also on that bill (with Tommy, funny enough). In the 1993 mini-doc about Robert John’s photo book, Slash said that after this show, a fan mailed him a cassette of AFD broken in half, as if to say “I’m not a fan of you anymore because of how bad this show was.” I’ve never heard any other specifics other than that.
  22. There are now two different Rey movies in development (one by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and one by Shawn Levy). Daisy is getting paid $12 million for the former. Nobody is sure how much she’s getting paid for the other one yet. They’re also trying to bring back John and Oscar for either movie (if not both) for similar paychecks. Personally I think it’s smart of them to be doing two different post-ST movies at once. If it was just one movie it would never live up to the scrutiny. Also, if Daisy really is getting paid $12 million for Chinoy’s film, then she’ll definitely be front-and-center in that (and not just a supporting role, as some have speculated).
