  1. Overall I agree that the final version of the album is better than any of the demos, with the exception of the following: If the World (Locker discs version with the extra vocal line is cool) There Was a Time (bass was louder on the Antiquiet leak) Catcher in the Rye (The Brian May demo is better in every way except for the lack of Bumble leads during the ending part of the song) Riad (Locker discs version smokes the final version’s ass) Sorry (Locker discs version + Axl vocals is the best) IRS (final version is too busy) …Okay, never mind. Maybe I don’t like the final album as much as I thought I did.
  2. Incorrect. He filed for divorce in 2014, but the settlement only happened a few years later. Besides, slash was already secretly talking to TB in 2013 anyways.
  3. Message For You and 2000 Intentions were titles which we speculated cause we couldn’t tell if Axl said the word “prostitute” at the end or not. Most of us assumed Prostitute would be a rocker and not another ballad. Sean Beaven confirmed that it’s a protools loop that Billy from A Perfect Circle found for the band (back when he was still working for them), but I just assumed that they were planning to play it using the sitar pedal now, I guess. Now that I think about it, though, they’ll probably just stick to samples.
  4. The last Antiquiet song was actually just another version of Better. Shackler’s leaked separately a few months later (under the name Chicken Dinner).
  5. Doesn’t atlas have a sitar sound too? Atlas will definitely be one of them. It’s companion could be one of the following: Berlin (it was almost played live) Zodiac (the notes on the locker discs implied that a vocal version exists) Soul Monster (Axl claims it has vocals) Seven (it was talked about a lot, so my gut tells me that it’s probably finished) Ides of March (Dave Dominguez referred to it as finished) I don’t think State of Grace was ever finished.
  6. He initially blamed his backing out of the FNM tour on agoraphobia (due to Covid quarantine) but yeah he has since toured with Bungle. Not sure if it’s him who’s mad at the rest of FNM, or the other way around, or both.
  7. Not sure if this has been posted here yet but: ^turns out there’s and “E” next to “The G,” so it really is The General and not The Garden like others were speculating.
  8. https://www.ratm.com/north-american-2023-rage-tour-canceled/ “I have a severe tear in my left Achilles tendon and only 8% of my tendon was left intact. And even that portion was severely compromised. It’s not simply a question of being able to perform again, but extends to basic functionality going forward.” And Patton said his psychological problems were triggered by being in quarantine for over a year due to the pandemic. So, in a sense, the pandemic did indeed ruin FNM’s comeback.
  9. Yeah :/ First Covid delayed their reunion tour, then this happened at the second fuckin show. Lots of bad luck for RATM… Covid also ruined the Faith No More reunion too, and it doesn’t sound like that band is gonna continue now either.
  10. He meant the original lineup. RATM will never play live again. Zack destroyed his Achilles tendon. Only 8% of it remains intact. No coming back from that. He will never walk again. EDIT: Just did a quick Google search out of curiosity. Apparently RATM put out a statement just a month ago saying they promise to never play venues that require facial recognition to get in. I guess the fact that they’re even thinking about future shows is a good sign. So maybe Zack is making a miraculous recovery, somehow.
  11. I don’t think that sorta shit bothers Axl anymore. If anything, it now keeps GnR somewhat relevant.
  12. Didn’t know they soundchecked it at all! Interesting, if so.
  13. While I agree with the general consensus that most people only care about one or two members of a band as is, let’s also remember that a lot of the piano parts on the albums were actually done by Axl, not Dizzy. But for some reason Axl only ever wants to do November Rain on the piano when they do it live. Even though he does it for the studio versions of This I Love, Prostitute, Catcher, Estranged, Breakdown, etc. I think Dizzy only has writing credits on Street of Dreams, IRS, Oh My God, and Absurd. Though I guess there’s still something to be said for that, since I love all of those songs.
  14. Yeah I think at the beginning of the UYI tour Slash, Duff and Matt didn’t really accept Dizzy but that seemed to change by the end of that tour, for one reason or another.
  15. I’m reading somewhere else that Axl mentioned Buckethead at this show? Does anyone have context for that? EDIT: Nevermind I found it:
  16. Just googled it. I was slightly off. It’s $100k a month until the kids are older. And then he has to pay like $40k a month until 2036: https://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny-news-slash-reaches-divorce-settlement-20180905-story.html#:~:text=Slash%2C whose real name is,income until the year 2036. Still a lot, though! EDIT: No wait, I was right the first time. The 100k a month is spousal support, not child support. The 40k a month until 2036 is the child support. Unless I’m reading it wrong? It’s all very confusing. Either way, Slash is screwed.
  17. Nah. He has to pay Perla $100,000 a month until she dies. He’s not going anywhere. Plus, last time, Axl interfered with Snakepit, whereas nowadays he lets SMKC do whatever they want, pretty much.
  18. While I agree, and I don’t wanna jinx it, I don’t think they’ll ever leave again. I think they’re too old to care, so they’ll just deal with this bullshit until the band is over. That said, IF they do leave again, it’ll 100% be cause of TB. I have a feeling Bumble’s departure also had partially to do with TB. Back on topic: I think the story of Beta telling MSL “stop talking about new music or else you’ll drive Axl crazy” is probably true. It sounds eerily similar to that one time in 2006 when Baz told Axl “it’d be great if you got the album out this year man” and then Axl flipped out on him. New music is definitely a sore subject for Axl.
  19. If that’s the case, then I really feel bad for Axl. I’d rather him be in a good mental state, even if that means no more new music.
