It seems that Alter Bridge will come to Europe this spring/summer (1 gig announced already, 26/06 Luxemburg). Don't you think it'd be great if they supported GNR? It might totally bury the hatchet between Slash Camp and Axl Camp. Imagine "Slither" with Myles as special guest. I know it's a long shot but I'd love to see that.

They are already opening for Aerosmith in Spain. June 29. Hoping for a GN'R one as well.

Yes, I've been looking into acts that are in Europe at the time, especially since Belgium sees them headlining a one day festival, and we're still waiting on the other names. Alter Bridge is already doing Graspop Metal Meeting (Sat 17th of June) in Belgium a week before TW Classic, where GNR are headlining. So I think it's a safe bet they won't be back for another festival just one week later.

Still keeping my fingers crossed for Aerosmith to be announced for TW Classic, as they would be a perfect fit :)

Does he address or explain how Avery's blood was found inside the car but no fingerprints were found?

In any event, Netflix announced a second season where Avery's lawyers will present new evidence. Apparently Avery's lawyer has been working with a forensic scientist in Sweden who specializes in carbon dating that will somehow bolster Avery's claim of innocence.

Hopefully the documentary addresses some of the criticisms brought against it.

I'm looking forward to that then.

I stopped watching midway the 8th episode or something. I was hooked, but I always get too upset with those things  and I'd had enough of that awful prosecutor. I couldn't stand him locking up the nephew too. Leaving aside if he/they is/are actually guilty or not, there's obviously something wrong with the nephew. I mean, he was 16 or something, but he doesn't seem to be able to form a sentence or answer any question, nor grasp what the consequences are from what he's saying (or doing). I'd like to think that a kid with such low intelligence wouldn't even appear in court here. Instead the case would be dealt with by the appropriate authorities. At the very least, someone should've always been present (a parent, a psychologist, social worker) while he was interrogated by those cops who obviously took advantage of his low intelligence. Regardless if they're guilty or innocent, the cops came across as crooks and I would never trust them, after seeing how they handled the case in general and that kid in specific.

I'm here. It was a total of 28 hours on planes. I flew into Melbourne the other day and then flew into Brisbane. My total travel time was about 45 hours.  I went from Buffalo,NY to Toronto then flew to China where I had a 16 hour layover. I then flew to Melbourne before flying to Brisbane.

    Wow! Have a great time!

Mine has a few  marks at the bottom from the rubber band that was on it and each corner has a slight peel that annoys me. Flattened you cant tell though so i'll get by.  Got it flattening out now on my table under glass from another frame that was too small. Need to get a decent one soon before either kids or animals damage it.  Still considering it was pouring with rain I got lucky with the gate delay and my mate ran back to the car with his and mine and we didnt have to deal with that problem

Febuary? Now that would bug me. I hadn't noticed it before though.

How bout Aerosmith? They are touring Europe same time!

Hm, they could be one of the other bands in the Werchter TW Classic festival in Belgium! Aerosmith has no show planned in Belgium so far and they don't have a show planned on June 24th. Plus it would fit the bill perfectly, being a classic, and GNR is the only act that's been confirmed for the festival. We're still waiting on the rest of the bill! I'd say it's definitely possible.

I am amazed that today's interview is creating such negativity among GNR fans. Steven seemed really out of touch with what may or may not be going on. Before the interview, everyone was excited about the tour, Axl mentioned in interviews about having some new music he had shared with Duff and Slash, he managed to mend their broken relationship back together, no one really knows what is going on except those currently in the band.... but then this interview with Steven, which really did not have much clarity, has bummed fans out, everyone is bashing Axl and saying they are losing interest in GNR...with fans like these, who needs enemies??? Not trying to start any arguments, I am just disgusted with it all. I could not just sit here and not say something. I am not meaning to offend any of you, just stating my opinion. :smiley-confused2::smiley-confused2:

To Slash, Duff and Axl...if by chance you read this, I just want to say Thank You for getting the tour together and keeping GNR alive. This fan of thirty years appreciates what you are doing. :headbang:

Get used to it. Axl's always the scapegoat. It used to be much worse. Now with the partial reunion there was some positivity, but whenever anything crops up that is not to the fans' liking, it's always automatically Axl's fault.

It could be, of course, but we weren't there, we don't know how it happened. We have no way of knowing what Izzy and Steven wanted or could do. Or what Axl, Slash and Duff want to do. People just assume that Izzy and Steven are willing and able, and Axl's the bad guy once again. No mention anymore of Duff, who seems to be okay with how things are going and used to be praised here for his infinite coolness, wisdom, enterpreneurship... We just don't know what happened behind the scenes.

While I would like to see Izzy and Steven up there, I'm more than happy with what's going on now, as I would never have believed this would ever happen.

Something else, as to ticket prices: not sure why there are such huge differences. Here in Belgium ticket prices are completely normal. I paid as much as I paid to see Adele and just a little more than I paid for AC/DC last year, and GNR is headlining a one day festival, so there will be groups playing all day. Not a bad deal imo. Bring it on!

  7. Wasn't it a rule not to post in another language than English? It seems to be happening more and more lately. I don't mind the occasional foreign word here and there, but it gets annoying when several posts or almost a whole thread seem to be in another language.

  8. What a shock. This one hits me the most out of all celebrity deaths this year. It's the one I once considered myself a fan of. I was so crazy about him in the 80s. I still enjoy many of his songs today. Club Tropicana puts an instant smile on my face, he was so sexy in the Faith video, I loved his duets with Aretha Franklin and Mary J. Blige, Careless Whisper made me cry, Last Christmas of course, and Freedom 90 is still such a great song with a great video. RIP George.

  9. Apparently they don't have the right guy. I can't believe this much time was wasted on this refugee. Ugh, apparently he had a bunch of different names, which made the questioning and investigation difficult. It reminds me of that stupid PhD student last summer who went out in Brussels with 30 degree weather in a winter coat with wires sticking out. It took hours and hours before it was clear he was a student doing some kind of research

  10. I'm starting to wonder if it's an irresponsible risk to take my daughter to the Christmas market later this week. I'll still do it though.

I have often wondered about that too, what a world this has become. Funny thing is, my daughter doesn't even notice the soldiers with heavy weapons. It always gives me a shock, even if I should be used to them by now, but to my daughter, this is already normal, part of what the city's like.
