The admin tells us we shouldn't disclose where we live because there are crazies at the forum. Uh-oh.
With your elaborate response, I'll be able to locate you in no time. Just have to look up where Torget is located in Norway Should be easy.
Not really. I was more than inaccurate in both the distances and directions I provided, as well as just making some of the stuff up. So hah hah!
I did realize that I don't really come from this city, I just live here, now. The picture below shows where I actually come from (roughly in the epicentre of the red circle) whereas my house is located more or less in the epicentre of the blue circle. The distance between is about 904 km.
That's crazy! I actually live not that far away from you. If you look closely, you can see my place on your map! Small world, I guess.
Hey, that's cool! We should meet up for a hot chocolate one day.
I'm in both circles, too
Okay, see you guys tomorrow at noon at the café on Torget then

In the 1990 Kurt Loder interview Axl said he was eating too much and sitting on his ass too much, so, yeah, I think it's always been a weakness for him. But it's easier to get back into shape when you're 25 or 30 than when you're 50.
I always feel kind of bad about the whole 'over weight' thing, because yeah he admitted that it was a weakness for him but in 1991/2 he started eating healthy and working out, and you could definitely see it! and I saw something James Hetfield said, mocking him in front of everyone saying he was a scrawny 'fucking vegimetarian'. Its got to of had some sort of effect on him because he can never do right when people keep mocking him about his health. Shame really.
I think people are exaggerating. I would never call someone that looks like Axl fat. People are acting like he's some kind of Pavarotti. In fact, 2 in 3 Americans are either overweight or obese, so would the people calling Axl fat call all those people fat too ? I don't know, maybe it's semantics and of course, I'm not a native speaker. I can see he's overweight, but it doesn't really bother me.

1200th post
Hope Axl doesnt wear sunglasses and hats at this, he should really prepare
Prepare ? That's preposterous
Plus, it's next week. I don't think he'll look a lot different.

axl looked ok until 2006. he's been obese since 2008.
in 2010 he really looked horrible.
but his bad food habits started a long time ago :

We need more Nosajs and less spgunners here.
No. We need both. You always need a bit of everything to balance it all out.

Bumblefoot just posted:
Thank you

I'm a communicator. That's what musician's do, they share themselves, it feels 'unnatural' if I don't. Sometimes musically, sometimes verbally, sometimes through a song, sometimes through a tweet...
The GNR S. American tour has one show left. I haven't always been the best version of myself, on & off stage, hinges on certain situations that just crush me and I can't get past, and I know it shows... I'm human, a reasonably empathetic one (sometimes a pathetic one, lol.)
But YOU - the friends, fans, audience at the shows, have always been the absolute best. Thank you so much for being you, so passionate, so full of spirit I want the best for you, you deserve it Obrigado & gracias, was so good to see you all Some for the first time, some for the XXth time, at the shows & workshops - hopefully we can share these beautiful experiences again soon
And a huge thanks to the amazing crew for building the planet the band gets to crawl around the surface of, you guys are magic...! Thanks to the bandmates for givin' it all ya got! To the promoters & folks that brought us here and make these shows happen, you're an amazing team and it's been such a pleasure Same for the workshops, happy call you all my friends 'Til next time...
With love & appreciation, and lots of hugs...
Ron

Ain't It Fun and Since I Don't Have You became hits, but nothing major. The world had moved on by then. Me too. I didn't even buy TSI, where a year before GNR was an absolute obsession of mine. I kinda liked Ain't it Fun, didn't like Since I Don't Have You and the video didn't help at all. I was kinda embarrassed that I had been such a huge fan of the band. That feeling never went away afterwards.

I'm seeing Arsenal on Saturday. This song was in het last episode:

Damn, should've gotten up earlier
Besides the livestreaming and tweets, was there anything out of the ordinary this show ? How did Axl sound ?

Another one from Stromae. The video is great too. It was filmed with hidden camera in Brussels. Stromae acted drunk to see how everyone would react. Nice reaction from the police too. But first and foremost: great song
Edit: with subtitles, for those that don't speak French
-
I was so tempted to post the Carlton dance
Here's something quite different. Stromae is very popular in Belgium now, in France too, as it's in French. I absolutely adore him, but you either love him or hate him.
What do you think ?

I've been looking for it, but haven't found it. I'll look some more later. I also thought it was from a cemetery and looked for statues on Père Lachaise, but no luck.

Of course Marky Mark was a musician Then there's Will Smith too.

I guess that's why we actually have special courses here for football fans travelling to Brazil for the World Cup. People are taught not to strut about with expensive cameras looking like rich tourists. Guess they could teach Richard and Kat a thing or two. Also, I love how they call this a 'misunderstanding'. What exactly was misunderstood ?
i'm sorry for you... fans coming for the WORLD CUP
Then, they would better not come at all.
Well, I thought it was more common sense, really, as for as I could tell from the guy organizing it when he was on the radio. So I think the course is a rip-off. You can get mugged anywhere.

And let's not forget Desperately Seeking Susan and Who's That Girl. I think there's more, but that's all I remember at the moment.
-
Bon Jovi in that submarine movie in the late 90s
Oh, yes, U-571. He was in The Leading Man too, with Thandie Newton.
-
Rocket Queen, tokyo rap.
For me, its ballad of Death
That was actually from a complete song called "it taste good, don't it"
Thanks for posting I'd heard it was a complete song, but I's never seen a clip before, or heard it.

Is that where you work, Snake ?

Other: Rihanna in Battleship.

This one's pretty impressive, just won the Olivier Award in London, choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.

I wish I could dance If I try really hard though, I might manage some Tarantino-dances

I remember buying this the day it came out and being so pissed off that the vocals were done up. I used to watch the Illusions Japan gigs alot, so I was fully aware when songs from that gigs were being played (Axls intros etc) but then hearing different vocals on top of it really annoyed me. Actually went back and listened to it again recently... still annoys me, only a couple of reasons to listen to it ever again (It's Alright, Used to Love Her, You're Crazy).
Would rather listen to bootlegs.
This. If you're familiar with the bootlegs, it's really obvious the vocals were re-recorded.

This. McCoy, ask your BFF's or your (almost) dates why it happens all the time. How do your BFF's react when you tell them of another date that didn't happen ?
