I liked both suspect208's songs, but was very unimpressed with Weiland as a person in interviews and that behind the scenes video they did... I get that its rock and roll and you are 20, but his dad died from drugs. might want to grow up and clean up or he will end up like his dad, which I would never hope for anyone.

Axl Rose podcast. hes pretty smart and supposed to be funny, so he could probably give Joe Rogan a run for his money. the difference is Axl has WAAAAAAAAAY cooler real life stories than Joe does. And Axl would probably kick some guests asses once they piss him off. I'd definitely love to hear him interact with other rock legends as well as the diverse backgrounds of Rogans guests. would be fascinating to me.
and of course there would be that inevitable Maury Povich episode where Maury does paternity tests on several dozen millenials who claim Axl could be there dad. man, we would see Axl sweat more that episode that all of the shows he has ever done combined.
but realistically I can see him opening a Brazilian bed and breakfast. a nice place where the food is great and all of the ladies wake up the next morning with a Brazilian wax, whether they requested ot or not. RnFNR!

I've met them all and pleased to call some long distance friends. No Names.
I'll focus on Axl. He is amazing, very funny, lots of stories, loves a few beers.. inspiring others even just with his demeanor. It's clear that he leads this band and staff. Overall nice dude and the bad press he gets is absolute shite.
Slash was high. Still cool. We talked guitars. Also talked guitars and amps with Fortus who is a very nice dude.
Duff is a leader. Cool AF and in control of his shit.
I could talk about other members but can't be arsed at the moment. Ping me questions if you want to.. Del is fucking really awesome as well!
was the Slash meeting recently or back in the day. thought he was sober now?

Somehow wandered into the after party in Atlantic City in early 2012. Didn’t technically “meet” Axl, as I didn’t wanna bother the guy, but I was in his room, listening as he told stories. He got a little frustrated when the venue shut the music off in the room, and left suddenly.
that's cool. how did you get into his room? his suite? or a room at a restaurant?

i met Slash after a smkc show in 2013. was kind of an accident. he was playing at a casino and on my way out I saw the tour buses and about 50 people hanging out. I was drunk so I figured what better way to sober up then to wait in line to meet Slash. he signed one autograph for everyone, would not take photos and didn't really talk to anyone.
my advice is to look outside of the smaller venues for the tour buses. larger venues probably wont allow access to the buses, so it will be harder. so try to find out what hotel they are staying at. I guess one way to do it would be to call the hotel and ask if (insert name) from GNR has checked in yet. dont bother asking for band members. but perhaps fernando doesnt use a fake name? idk. never tried it, but it could work. I have always wanted to meet Axl myself.

are we clear the "manufactured band" is about 1985 GNR? seems to me that if it was, they would have had more of a glam look and hair metal sound.
I assume that statement refers to 1997 in which I can totally see a record label worried about the bands image, etc. although I remember when I saw the 2002 VMAs i was like "what the fuck? theres a guy with a bucket, a guy that looks like a goth zombie, Axl looks like he just discovered the NFL and a guy still in his pajamas" who approved that look?

they should have named this band "the lucky sperm club"

during the night before Christmas morning I'd have an artist paint murals of the AFD5 on each and every wall in Axls house to remind him of what the bands line up should always be

From about the 1 minute 30 mark the song starts. Badass riff and soloing from Slash. Duff and Matt sound great too.
I have this on VHS. I should get this put onto dvd soon. I remember when I got this video in 1999 or so that this jam made the purchase so worth it.

I always wondered if Axl and Baz ever talked about Velvet Revolver when they reconnected in 04 or whatever year that was.
for those that dont know, the lead singer slot was between Scott Weiland and Baz.

I wonder what Axls deal is with Bon Jovi. unrelated, but I thought this video was funny and cool

"slowly working on an album" means that its 1995 all over again for these guys.

I didnt count how many times they interacted in the 3 NITL shows I went to, but I feel pretty confident that they interacted no more than 3 times in each 3 hour show.
my question is, how does that compare to Axls interaction with the nu Guns guys during a show? I saw nu Guns in 2011 and I remember feeling like the band were all friends, but their singer was clearly the boss who wasnt even on the stage for 40 percent of the show. Cant say I saw Axl interact with DJ or Bumble at all at the show I was at, but I could be wrong and just dont remember.

What's the next excuse, Fernando?
the cassette player they used to record everything broke. they expect a new cassette player as soon as they are available- looks like 4 to 6 months. everything is on backorder due to new quarantine hobbies. apparently cassette players are to musicians as what banana bread is to people trying to shut their kids up while on lockdown.
for those who dont understand sarcasm, this is it. But at the same time I kind of feel like it could be true. lol

Meegan just confirmed Slash is in the studio for SMKC. so either GNR album is done or will never come out.

great job. thought that was scott singing.
this is one if those things that reminds me of the supergroup era 15 years ago- but now it will be famous guys kids instead of guys from famous bands getting together.
I'll bet these guys can definitely earn their way to being a great group based off the first song. I thought it was really solid!
but this definitely makes me feel old. I remember reading about Noah and Lindonnwhen they were born. geez times flies.

Well he hasn't gotten together with Slash yet so
dont they write alot of stuff and then send it to each other over email? I could have sworn I read that somewhere but maybe I'm wrong. but they could theoretically make an album without seeing eachother in person. not sure if that's a great approach to writing and recording, but I'm not a musician so what do I know.

geez. glad I clicked on this. when I saw the headline I thought Brando actually interviewed a pinball machine! Next up, an interview with R2D2!
will definitely check this episode out!

you know what's sad? I've been a GNR fan since 93 and have had exactly ONE album of new music by "GNR" in the last 27 years. I dont demand a new album because I honestly dont expect one. I think my head would explode if Axl and Slash ever put out a new album. lol
in all honestly I'd rather have a tour of the AFD5 over a new album. but I guess the chances of that are even less than a new album so I wont get my hopes up over that one either
would be nice if they could just release something for the fans who "stuck with them through all the fucking shit" . But I dont have my hopes up and am past the point where it makes a difference in my life one way or the other
Maybe the line was supposed to be " to the fans who keep buying our fucking shit"?

as long as Slash can actually nail the Ain't talkin about love into this time, I guess it would be ok.

Fernando said they want a tour to coincide with the album.
I can see why he would want a new album to help promote a stale tour. but it's not happening. sign an exclusive deal with Spotify and take what you can get. you have made enough money, but I guess half a billion dollars doesnt go as far as it used to.
Obviously this is about b(r)and finances and not about returning the favor for all of those who remained GNR fans over the last few decades.

What do you mean by "finished"? The insider at the other forum says the music is done but Duff is stranded in Seattle and can't mix it. Do you have the same info?
is this serious? what happened, his mountain bike got a flat tire? geez they made it to Seattle back in 85 without a fully working car. now this multi millionaire cant figure out how to get to his second home? unless he has to quarantine due to covid, there is no way this is true
Video with Slash and Matt appearance?

I remember hearing about this video before I saw it. I thought this is probably that proverbial "passing of the torch" from a great band to the next great band. then I heard the song and thought, if this is the next great band, maybe we should just extinguish the torch. lol. couldn't get into them at all
