.......just wait to see your kids reactions when you read them the SCOM children's book.
is it OK with the mods if I upload a video of my baby throwing a soiled diaper at me while I'm reading the book? lol

great news for me. now my transition to lame dad is nearly complete. first my kids comolaining about the 30 year old dad rock (aka GNR music) in the car. now I get to do lame yoyo tricks at parties AND a towel to soak up my sweat while I eat hot wings! we need a GNR antacid and my life will be perfect.
thank you GNR!!

You're welcome, glad you enjoy it man!
Thanks! Definitely a track to drive fast to!
Maybe we could ask for this to be put in the main section as it's a collaboration between two members, which would get more people hearing it and more opportunities for promotion? I don't really know any of the site staff well though.
let us know how we can support you. I mean, you could start a thread saying "two guys who met on this forum a few months ago have released more new music than GNR in the last 12 years".
it would obviously just turn into another complaint thread, but will give more exposure for a few days than the current thread. idk how stuff works on this site.

Here you go, will be on other streaming services as well.
thanks bro. I'll pass this along to a few of my friends who also have the same superior taste in music like me!

the way GNR push their fans away is pathetic. I remember that they didn't even have a functioning band website for YEARS after the internet became a thing.
@Gambit83 Brando I got a great idea we can use as a case study on how bands SHOULD treat their fans. start a podcast called "ride the Breitling" that's a podcast dedicated to Metallica and fancy watches (lol I couldn't think of anything that rhymes with lighting) I'd bet you could get James and Lars on there eventually and they'd probably send you a ton of merchandise and invite you to shows etc. in otherworlds I bet they would actually appreciate what you do which is what GNR should do with you.
you are doing a great job. don't stop.

this is honestly one of the most disgusting things I've heard in a long time. I've listened to a lot of episodes of AFD and Brando comes off as nothing but a respectful, class act FAN doing a passionate project for a band he loves. I've never heard anything even remotely scandalous on his show that would make GNR look bad.
For 20 plus years I dreamed of seeing Axl and slash on a stage together. and I was thrilled to see them 3 times on the NITL tour. But in the 4 years that I last saw them I've seen too much of this bullshit by management and honest this is the last straw for me. I spent probably over a grand on the 3 shows I went to. I'm not spending another penny of my hard earned money knowing those stupid ungrateful fucks will get a portion of it. I'd rather give my ticket money to Brando to help fund his show than to give it to the "we hate the fans and fuck you for asking about music or trying to promote our band, but btw you should buy this kids book and toy truck and limited edition. photo for 300 bucks" assholes
judging by ticket sales for this upcoming tour, they need publicity and the fans support otherwise next years tours will be bowling alleys and 80s festivals.
btw, is Susan still allowed to do the podcast? London? Cash?

id love a UYI box set as long as there some unheard stuff there. injust read that GNR and NWA supposedly recorded a song called the "yellow road of compton" anyone know if that's true? as a fan of both bands, I'd like to hear it. I think.....

I'd love to learn more about that 95- 97 period of GNR. I always wondered what sings they worked on turned into songs on their solo albums. I heard Nightcrawler became speed parade.
any ideas as to when slash and izzy wrote Ghost? I know it came out in 2010 but it could have been written way before that especially bc I think Izzy was mad at Slash for some of the things Slash said in his 2007 book.
how about some of the songs from Duffs unrelated album in 1999? I'd love to get more insight on this

Stern would give the best interview that would really go into Axls mind set etc.
Rogan would be fun bc they would just get high and talk about tigers or some 3rd party shit that noone cares about and yet for some reason is interesting.
appetite for distortion gets my vote as the source who should interview Axl. would definitely change some of the feeling that GNR hate their fans if they let a fan interview Axl.

ok. to figure out what Axl will look like next month, one must figure out the Axl wardrobe algorithm, which is 1. a bad ass look from the 80s mixed with 2. something from today's pop culture. see the following examples:
1. 80s football out fit plus Xbit equals 2002 Axl
2. Marty McFly (80s) plus Seth Rogan (current pop culture of that tim equals 2010 Axl
3. chuck norris (80s) plus Paris Hilton (pop culture) equals 2006 Axl

I was at that show. It was definitely special. It was also Slash's birthday which was cool.
I was actually at the Philadelphia show at Lincoln Financial Field the week before and I have to say that was an even more special night. Axl definitely had something to prove after the show cancellation in 2002 and he 100% brought it. I honestly think it's the best concert I was ever to. The first time I got to see Axl, Slash and Duff together, Axl sounded fantastic and was incredible all might. Just a really amazing night. The crowd was intense and passionate all night. I still get chills thinking about it.
See if you can track down a video of welcome to the jungle from that show
totally agree. my favorite show ever. I found a video of wtj on YouTube just now.
there's so a guy who posted the entire show a few years ago but I guess GNR made him take it down. I tried reaching out to him to see if he'd sell me a DVD but he never responded.

You don't even know the station why are you calling it shitty?
just curious what dj said this? I'm in Philly.... if it was Jackson then that's a credible source assuming he was implying there is a new album and not that he hopes there is a new album

If you're curious, just have a look at ticketmaster and zoom in on the maps. You'll get an idea of how shows are selling, but keep in mind that Ticketmaster often pretend things are 'sold out' in order to try and push tickets at higher prices.
In terms of buying right before, ticketmaster is probably your best bet as they're likely to release all the tickets they pretended were unavailable after being unable to flog them at inflated prices. If you're local to a venue though and looking for a really cheap ticket, might even be an idea to hang around outside and buy one.
Here;s the Dallas one you mentioned for example: looks like loads of availability now, including the pit. https://www.ticketmaster.com/guns-n-roses-2021-tour-dallas-texas-09-01-2021/event/0C005AB8DDFD3F77
how long before the show would you check ticketmaster for tickets that have been released prior to the show? day before? day of? I've had some luck getting non gnr tickets the day before a show (good seats too). just wondering what your experience has been.

does anyone remember when Lana Del Ray and Axl were linked somehow? not sure if they dated or if they worked in the studio together. but I would assume he likes her music. maybe I'm wrong?

I can accurately answer this question but need to use illustrations. how does one copy and paste a photo from their gallery (android) to a post in this forum?

I drove an hour and a half each way to that Bethlehem gig. It was fun but I was bummed that they didn't play Civil War. Also killed my first ever piece of roadkill on the way there.
you ate it, right? if not.....is it still there? asking for a friend...

Maybe they are booking available venues to fit in their roster, not much available last minute, with covid.. etc
Looks like a similar size venue in Atlantic City also.
Or it's just a Billboard in Reading for the Hershey show.
it's likely a billboard in Reading for the Hershey show. last time they played Hershey there were billboards in Reading, Lancaster and most of the larger towns surrounding Hershey.

It is not comparable at all. Back then, we had to rely on magazines; there was no internet, no Twitter, social media. There wasn’t much music on TV (of this sort), people’s imagination ran at full speed. We only had a few videos, if any. The musicians were… more rare to us. Imagine if The Beatles formed today – there’s no way they’d be surrounded by such hysteria like back then. If you wanted to see the show in the 90s, you had to physically go. No YouTube, no Periscopes, or Facebook. When a musician made an interview to address some media bullshit, it was a big deal. There weren’t shitloads of new bands spamming your channels every day with tons of diverse weird music, and us swiping them away, bored. Compare it to dating 30 years ago and Tinder today.
I think the chick with the binoculars in Rio (was it 91 or 01?) sums it all up nicely. Can you imagine this today? Folks will watch close-ups on YouTube instead. We are spoiled, there’s too much of everything, and our attention and minds are shattered by thousands of dull tidbits from celebrities as well as by other information spam from the internet.
Basically, there is more stuff, spreading with incredible speed these days, and so the times before the internet cannot be truly compared with today, regardless of what the particular theme is.this is spot on. couldn't agree more.
the traditional music outlets that we had in the 90s were MTV (yes, they actually played music and made bands careers) and terrestrial radio. that's it. in Philadelphia there is really only 1 rock station and they play 95 percent stuff from the 90s. so it's rare to hear about new artists these days unless you go digging for them.
with the internet being here now, we all tend to belong to smaller tribes who tend to influence eachother rather than one big mass market that a few select record companies get to decide what is going to be popular, so having a new rock back like GNR back in 91 is unlikely to happen these days.
if I were managing GNR I would have had them start their own record label with a few other top bands with the sole intent of taking them on tour in am ozzfest sort of way and helping pay forward a new generation of rockers. probably wouldn't make a ton of money, but wouldn't have to lose money either.
I miss being excited by a new band or an album release. I remember the first time I heard Nirvana on MTV. my life changed right there and then. same thing when I heard appetite. can't say that a band or album has done that to me in 25 years and I think how music is introduced and distributed is mostly to blame in addition to our instant gratification culture

This is a brave statement😄 I think they work well together, but not so sure it's the full package of chemistry. They have written great songs together, but not a absolute must have record. Myles is obviously also an incredible singer but he doesn't really have that lead singer charisma that puts him up to that Jagger/Tyler/Rose other half category IMO. He's no slouch though! And looking forward to the album.
I love most of the SMKC stuff and definetly agree Myles is a great singer...... but he is definitely not in the same class as Jagger or Tyler in both the song writing as well as stage presence categories. I'm a fan of Myles but a coat rack has more charisma than he does on stage.

my guess:
bald head tattooed to look like a skull.
Long orange and white beard- not because of poor beard dye, it's just old Creamsicles he didn't comb out of there.
x ray sunglasses that someone bought him as a gag, but now we all think they might actually work bc he stares at the same hot chick throughout the whole show.
17 t shirts for one show, all of which feature his actual mug shots through the years. this is actually something I would buy now that I'm thinking of it....
atleast 3 scarfs being worn all at once,, because he is Axl Fucking Rose and you aren't.
pants will be overalls with a bandana hanging out of the back. During Dont Cry he will tie his bandana to Slashs back pocket bandana to form an "Ass Hammock" which one lucky ticket buyer can lay in for 17 grand.
and full out elf boots (kind of like what he wears now, but no snake skin, just full out Christmas velvet)
if anyone else needs fashion advice, I'm available for consultations. lol
