Was Appetite for Democracy that bad? I watched the DVD once and never listened to it with headphones (I really despise the Ashba era), didn't know it was like that. I guess everything regarding that release was butchered anyways. Technically less because they had to remix it after Slash, Duff and (maybe) Richard's new layers, but yeah, I know. Still, wasn't this the reason why Axl and Slash were listening to new mixes with different speakers and headphones in Sweden? Back then I speculated that this fact would indicate that the single would be out only by the NA tour. They suck at being professionals, that's for sure. They could animated that video/gif with a lot of dates. It's not a big deal to render and export things like that. IMO, that was just a placeholder for the date before the plan changed®.

It was a private page in a public domain. The band didn't promote the link, it get leaked. Probably some mock-up for the band and maybe even that agency to approve it or not. Obviously something went wrong with this internal plan. But you're stating that this was live with the band's approval, when it was clearly from the get go that it wasn't. Unless the leak was intentional, which we don't have proof of, that was still a draft that went live but that wasn't actually supposed to. I'm not making excuses for the band, I'm just stating a fact - the band didn't promote anything, this wasn't supposed to be public. You can be frustrated all you want, I am too. I'm mad that the band didn't figure it all out sooner. But I can't blame the band for a page that got leaked with an apparent discarded plan. What I'm saying is that the band gave permission for the marketers to go ahead and make a draft, but didn't approve it at the end. I agree that it was a mistake, I'm just saying that this wasn't the band promoting a date and then backing it up. They didn't promote anything to begin with.

Probably because of Axl's relationship with David Geffen. That soured a lot when Jimmy Iovine assumed the position and supposedly interfered in CD's production back in early 2000's. I believe there were a lot of egos clashing, but there was still some contractual obligation or just pure hope that Axl would recoup the investment made. Which I think he did with the Dr Pepper Best Buy deal and the tours.

I think we'll know more about it tomorrow or during the weekend in case the pre-save stuff is yet a plan. Thank you for that. I've been saying this for years now how the fanbase direct their anger to mostly Beta instead of the actual responsible - Axl - and always with A LOT of misogyny and racism. It still happens a lot on Discord and other places.

I think Hard Skool also had a troubled release back in 2021. I mean, we thought it would be released before. If they indeed "postponed" it for just about a week, I'd like to think it's because they want it to get it right. Of course I know how things work for this band, but IF this was the reason, I'm more than ok with that. It's not a big deal, really.

Yeah, saw that post by a guy named Alex Mendoza. It doesn't have source or proof (audio/video), tho. I asked how does he know, waiting for an answer.
