Is Axl really doing all he can to put on the best show possible walking in off the street cold and getting right on stage? God forbid even one thing goes wrong along the way getting to the gig and he is beyond screwed. I know we all laugh about the lateness, but what he's doing is nothing more than reckless if he truly is not at Sturgis yet when it is 1 am there and he is just arriving at the show. Alice in Chains was still playing 45 minutes ago---I am sure he was there prior to the end of AIC, and they were waiting for the stage and gear to get set-up. Much of this stuff, when they are not on 10 minutes after the proceeding act, is just hyperbole. I also am pretty sure I have read Axl warms up for an hour or so religiously prior to every show. Gilby Clarke mentioned that (warming up prior to show) as well last year on a radio interview.Maybe sometimes its at the hotel, but they have contingency plans and the promoters are always in contact knowing where the escort is and what not.
