highvoltage
Just Big Hoss. Chum used to annoy me, but he's grown on me.If we're talking shitty shows on History, the real guilty pleasure of mine is American Pickers... I could watch that shit all day. Izzy_Stradlin_XX
It's so stupid when they script those little end of the episode stories. I've actual learned some stuffwith the backgroung info you get when people come in with items and objects that are old.I like the show, but goddam, sometimes it's just plain retarded. dalsh327
It's definitely worth reading Rick's book ,and it was interesting to find out why they relocated from San Diego to Vegas and how they got their start in the pawn business.Old Man knew how to hustle money and Rick figured out how to cash in on hot trends, Hoss, Old Man, and Chumlee all contributed to the book. I also learned why pimps wear a lot of jewelry. The show attracts the tourists in the daytime, but at night, that's where some of the interesting stories in the book come in, when the cameras are off, and the types people that would need money at 2AM through the night window. Patience 4 Axl
Is Pawn Stars a show or movie? Why do you guys hate them so much? It's one of those 'reality' tv shows where people come into a Pawn shop to either sell or pawn their items for money. Some of the things people have in their possession is amazing. Many times they call in an expert to authenticate or value the items. Usually people think they're worth a lot more than they actually are, but most are willing to part with them anyway.Big Hoss is the only one on the show who can get on my nerves. He's annoyingly smug and not funny. A bit of a prick when he threatened to leave for another job because his father wouldn't make him a partner. (whether that was real or scripted it didn't make him look good)

(whether that was real or scripted it didn't make him look good) Thing is, it is all staged. In real life the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop deals mostly in jewelery and precious metals. Sometimes in cars and antique firearms. I highly doubt someone who found sunken treasures from the Taj Mahal would go to Vegas to sell it to a pawn broker. But it is good fun and educational. And it helps their business. Remember when they hired that girl Olivia for the night shift and Chumlee wanted to run the shift so he can hang out with her? Turns out the producers found out she was a Suicide Girl who has posed nude and because The History Channel is "family network" they fired her. Rick claimed he had nothing to do with it, but sucks they fire someone over that.If anyone needs to die it is the fools running The History Channel. It is not even the History Channel anymore. I think they had done an appraisal tour last year.
Georgy Zhukov
Rick seems like a cool guy. He seems to make it clear that he plays a fictional version of himself on the show. He can say whatever he wants because he owns the business and the producers can't take it away from him.Don't know why you guys hate The Old Man, he is "stone cold"
