One of the most celebrated directors of the modern era with plenty of iconic, timeless films. Which one is your favorite? The Departed is dearest to me, but I gotta go with Goodfellas. Very nearly perfect.

Also, does anyone else think The Irishman probably won't be that good? It sounds like it'll be trying too hard to recreate his 90s mob movies.

favs: Taxi Driver, King Of Comedy, After Hours, Mean Streets, Goodfellas

least favs: Gangs Of New York, The Departed, Shutter Island, The Aviator

haven't seen The Wolf Of Wall Street yet....

also, his New York Stories story is phenomenal, easily the best of the 3 and I would put it right after Goodfellas on my fav list

taxi driver

i've watched that movie plenty of times, i never get tired of it. so much energy in it.

that movie is so deeply rooted in new york, i'm fascinated by the way he filmed the city.

casino would be my second choice.

his performance in vampire's kiss is brilliant

Haven't seen that but I'll check it out. Wild At Heart, Raising Arizona as well pretty good.

He had a hardcore run: Kiss of Death, Leaving Las Vegas, Con Air, The Rock, Face/Off.

Then 8mm, Lord of War, Next, Bangkok Dangerous, Knowing, Trespass, Drive Angry one's I enjoyed between the other ones.

Rumble Fish, Racing With The Moon, Birdy, Peggy Sue Got Married, Moonstruck, Red Rock West, Adaptation, Matchstick Men, The Weather Man are also some of Cage's best roles

Then you have The Wicker Man, maybe the worst movie/performance of all time!

I think I've seen Red Rock West too. Is Moostruck that Cher movie? Adapatation is good if you like that kind of thing. I don't remember his role in Rumblefish.

Basically he's worked with most top directors and made a bunch of money and spent a bunch of money. Didn't the son of a bitch marry Patricia Arquette? Thats unforgivable.
