bacardimayne
Similar to how This I Love is Axl's most well known CD song (based on youtube views and crowd reception), which is Slash's?I imagine it's either By the Sword, Starlight or Back From Cali. illuminatemyfate
It's either By The Sword or You're A Lie.I would say Chinese Democracy is Axl's most known song btw. Edited September 4, 2014 by illuminatemyfate
wasted
Slash is more famous than his songs. Maybe Beuatiful Dangerous ft Fergie is known to Black Eye Pea fans.,
Rovim
Nothing came close to Slither and Fall To Pieces. That was the last time a substantial amount of casual fans were really aware of one of Slash's songs imo.
wasted
Probably true and makes sense, those songs had videos. I saw the Slither one, it was like a Motely Crue video or something. Slash on the Super Bowl was probably the last the mainstream heard of Slash before the HOF. I thought Beautiful Dangers had a video and single? It didn't do too well though.

Mr. Dude
Is Anastasia really that well known? Did it get played on the radio at all? All I remember was You're a Lie and Standing in the Sun getting a bit of rotation.

All I remember was You're a Lie and Standing in the Sun getting a bit of rotation. Not really, no.Anastasia got decent radio play around here, but not nearly as much as By The Sword or You're a Lie. None of them get played any more except You're a Lie occasionally. As far as Axl's biggest song since the break up and recreation of GnR, I'd guess Better. Tom2112
IRS was really popular around the 2006 radio leak, and better was a a pretty popular american radio song. worldwide however... there hasn't been a single. VR was Slash's last big hitter, Slither and fall to pieces being the only two you might hear outside of America.

metallex78
Back From Cali and Ghost are still played on high rotation on rock radio here in Australia, and Cali got a great response live when he played it at Sydney Entertainment Centre
wasted
I heard SOD in a bar in South Asia once. It did go well with nachos n cheese.
Rovim
I think most people are aware of Slash more as a celebrity than they are of his current music. He still performs on talk shows to promote albums. He'll he was the subject of a South Park episode a few years ago.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhgFQNK2lc0
jmapelian
I'd say slash's post gnr stuff gets a much more enthusiastic reception from fans at concerts than anything of democracy does. By the Sword, back from cali, starlight, Slither, Anastasia, your a lie, standing in the sun all get huge responses live.
wasted
So do Chi dem, Shacklers, Better, SOD, TWAT, Catcher, Madagascar, This I Love from what I've seen.
RandallFlagg
Slash should sing his songs and Axl should strap on the geetahr and do the TWAT solo.
