IncitingChaos
Hopefully he makes him talk Guns N Roses again. I'd really like if the questions aimed that way didn't reflect on the demise of his relationship with Axl. I just like hearing stories from the tour. dalsh327
Slash knows what to expect with Howard after close to 20 years of going on the show. Howard still appreciates Slash for doing his movie and more recently the birthday party. Anyone who doesn't have tickets for Slash's show could try calling Howard and asking if they have any left. ShadowOfTheWave
Can't wait for Howard to ask Slash how GNR wrote their songs for the 1000th time.

maynard
This media whore won't stop promoting his new album! Damn $la$h. I'm sure he will lie about GNR to make himself look cool.

I just like hearing stories from the tour. Why would you want to hear him talk about Guns N' Roses again? Honestly, what is left to say? If you want stories from the tour you can read his book if you haven't. At this point, there's nothing 'new' Slash can say about GN'R or his time in that band. At least that's how I see it.The one I would kill to hear on Howard Stern would be Axl Rose. I could listen to that shit for days. gunsfanoldie
Can't wait for this interview. The last one with Slash was excellent, and Stern only gets better with interviews each year. Stern's are the best because he's gonna ask the GNR questions, which you know Slash is so tired of, but Howard asks them from a completely childlike perspective and he usually demands an answer. I doubt we get anything we haven't heard from Slash, but I just get more enjoyment from Howard asking than other interviews. He'll ask and I'll crack up at the uncomfortableness that we know Slash has about the subject, but also on the edge of my seat because Howard won't let him go about it. And he always makes great Axl quips so this will be awesome. And I read on Slash's twitter that Myles will be with him, which is a first and should be great. Love Myles in interviews and him being barraged by Stern should be hilarious to listen to. Can't wait to hear it live. And it'll be up on Youtube by midday, I guarantee. Howard stuff usually is."Comin up now we have Slash, World On Fire, W NNNNNNNNN B C!!!!!!" Edited September 16, 2014 by gunsfanoldie

I could listen to that shit for days.Axl Rose on Howard would make my year! But seeing as we have Slash tomorrow id like to hear some more GNR stories. We all know we've only heard 5% of their time on the road. I just think it's a lot better to listen to Slash talk fondly of times he spent with the band then be backed into a corner of saying "it was tough going on so late" "I was really drinking to stay level headed with all the bullshit going on with Axl..it was the only way to survive for me" "I was so miserable during that time, why would I want to go back" To me Slash is full of it. I imagine he had some great times on the road with the band. Last time he was on Stern he talked about why He left Axl's version of GNR and how he's not to fond of him. I'm just saying that I hope he reflects on some better moments in Guns. I honestly could care less about his solo career...but I know some people do. So I'm sure those people will enjoy the interview more than myself.
gunsfanoldie
Well my Sirius signal isn't working in the rain so I guess I'll be listening to it on the Internet later with everyone else.
dalsh327
I heard part of the interview but they didn't get too much into GNR stories, Myles talked more about the Led Zeppelin audition. Axl doesn't seem all that guarded when he's doing interviews, but Howard isn't going to work his schedule around when Axl feels like doing it. If he isn't willing to be an open book on the show, as far as he's concerned, there's no point in having an interview. I think the best times Axl seems to loosen up are when there's other people in the room with him. There's nothing to promote, and that's the reason why most people do interviews in the first place. Sirius is set up where you could bounce into any number of rooms and could easily come in any time he wants to any show he wants, and I think they have a west coast building. I'd rather see him be interviewed by Rogan, Maron or Carolla because they can run the interview as long as they want and not just talk about music. IncitingChaos
He talked about November rain, sweet child and how those solos came about then talked about how he wrote everything for GNR...they played world on fire (sounded great actually, I'm surprised I hate Myles voice but it came together well) Myles didn't get asked much, his mic wasn't working right. Slash did a lot of talking about how the album name came together and stuff. Cool interview though, but clearly GNR was not going to be a big topic. ShadowOfTheWave
Slash may have requested that. He was pretty pissed about the last interview.
IncitingChaos
Was he pissed? He went on to do a lot of stuff with Howard since that interview. I enjoyed both interviews but I guess Slash didn't haha I guess I can't blame him. Howard talked to him about his wife and his marriage issues and GNR. I'm sure that was fun. dalsh327
Slash got a little annoyed with the Paul Stanley question. I doubt Howard was asked not to bring Axl up. Slash has been going on the show for 20 years and it was always about what he was working on more than it was about GNR. He got into a little bit of GNR but now it's anecdotes from the past, which Slash is fine with, but he's there to promote the album.

Mr. Dude
it was always about what he was working on more than it was about GNR.Not the interviews I've heard. Every one I've listened to has been almost entirely about GNR. During the last interview they only talked AL briefly and played a short clip of You're a Lie-which of course Howard asked if he wrote it about Axl. Estranged Reality
he talks a lot about the new material in this interview, and they skirt over the GN'R stuff at the beginning when Howard plays some of his old riffs, but they don't talk about Axl or the break up. wkuk04
Slash's solo's have gone downhill since he left GNR. I like the Slither, FTP, By The Sword. But really I think Axl was able to get those solo's out of Slash which made him a guitar icon. Izzy's sound was a perfect fit for him but I've never heard him praise Izzy once.
