And everywhere in the world, I didn't see them play Wembley stadium.

What, in 1992?  thats a quarter of a century ago sunbeam ;)

Quote

The Who is old fucking band

As opposed to GnR, who are fresh faced young teens.

Quote

they aren't the Stones to go after 50 years and still fill the stadiums

No but they are one of the biggest bands in rock history, it goes Beatles, Stones, Who...not my doing, sorry!

Quote

So their tour is fucking disaster and embarrassment.

So I'm told...in South America...meanwhile, in the rest the world

Quote

Their music is shit and it didn't stand test of the time AC/DC is almost 45 years, Aerosmith 46 years and they still can fill the stadium without any problem wherever the fuck they want so stop defending the band that should've ended in 1982 and never came back.

Sorry, explain to me again how filling out stadiums is the exclusive yardstick of your music having stood the test of time?  And if their music is so shit and didn't stand the test of time how are they touring at all?  Go have a look at their gig list, i think you'll find they've played very frequently in recent years.

No, I'll give them every respect in the world for what they achieved with Appetite, Illusions, that whole era was fantastic...but if you think Chinese Democracys record sales are anything at all to do with anything but the fact people were just curious to see what ginger bollocks had been up to for 17 years then you're mental.  And don't take my word for it, read some of the reviews it got.  I suppose I made those up as well yeah?  The reason you're getting all tarty about it is cuz you know its true

Of course it got some bad reviews, but take a look at the reviews on Amazon.com for example, which is not a bad place to get a feel for what people think of an album. The last time I looked it had more reviews than any other GN'R album and was at 4.5 stars.

Since we're talking about The Who and GN'R, can't we use the same logic for their last album? People were only interested in it to see what short arse had been up to for the last 24 years? It's a stupid argument, all albums use buzz or whatever to push sales, not sure why you'd use it against the record.

They are also a bigger draw than The Who in the UK, USA and Europe (where they sold a million tickets in one day).

Nothing to do with Axl finally reuniting with Duff and Slash after their on-going 20 year old soap opera though eh?  Oh sorry, i forgot, you don't give a flying fuck about the reason why, it's just a fact, sorry sorry, me and my context, it'll lead me to the waters one of these days, sorry!

Guns N' Roses is a younger band that didn't last that long in their first phase but they made it big in a short span of time.

There wasn't a Woodstock '69 in the Guns N' Roses decade.

In fact, after Guns N' Roses, and the 90's decade gone, rock n' roll pretty much declined as a genre producer of big acts.

Guns N' Roses is probably the last biggest band from the times when rock ruled the world.

I'm not wasting my time with this rubbish. Explain to me why Guns N' Roses play about twenty covers in their current setlist and one of them is The Who's, despite their fans wondering why ''they don't play Breakdown or Locomotion?'' Seems GN'R themselves prefer The Who's music over their own?

That is who you are discussing here with The Who, an act who were competing alongside Hendrix, Stones, Beatles etc - and often came out on top.

It is just a different plateau from Guns N' Roses.

And yet there they are opening for Guns N Roses! You should get in touch and remind them how important they are!

Hopefully they will play The Locomotion at some point!

Only in South America. South America still likes Motley Crue, Dokkon and Kiss and bands like that. It can not be taken as a barometer of the world who infinitely favour The Who.

I think that pretty much ends our business here!  Why 'of course', you say like it's granted that it would get bad reviews?  I wonder why!  And I wonder why the ones on Amazon would be good.  It's a puzzler innit?

Short arse, what, Pete Townshend?  And no the same logic doesn't work because it's obvious what Pete and Rog' have been doing because they've been right where they always were, as opposed to Axl who vanished from view, Christ, are you the GnR fan here or am I, have you not been following?

Because there is a massive curiosity around a band that stopped at it's peak and then releases another album after 17 years with the lead singer having disappeared from view in that time, how is that using it against the band, it's the reason it got so many sales...and then it was a load of bollocks, this was all said in response to your attempting to colour Chi Dem as some kind of titanic album that sold millions and millions of records cuz it was so fantastic when, actually, it was a bag of shite.

Rock n Roll declined well before 1987 dear, unless we're talking about record sales.

Do you mean that song that no GNR fan cares about?

I'm sorry that you incorrectly thought The Who were a bigger draw than GN'R, but you should just accept that as true (as it clearly is) and get on with your day, instead of moving the goal posts all the time and talking nonsense.

GN'R are a bigger draw than The Who in all major markets... Latin America, North America and Europe.... they are the bigger band. Obviously, no? Unless, headliners now play before the support act?

Let's hope this tour goes well! Maybe GN'R will let them open for them at Wembley Stadium or something in future, I'm sure it'd be great for The Who to play to audiences that size again (god bless them).

GN'R were playing a casino two years ago.

I wouldn't want to put words into their mouths but clearly GN'R themselves care about The Seeker.

What, you mean like narrowing down rock history to the year 2017?  You're right, only a dickhead would do that

I don't doubt it's been a banner year!

Then they'd tried to be all Malcolm McLaren-ish like 'hey, our audiences are like movers and shakers, tastemakers'...and ended up playing in a half empty fashion boutique   Oh yeah and Rosario Dawsons birthday party, whooo hoooo!

Pretty much. Axl was flying in their air on a piano with casino related motifs. The crowds were full of drunken tourists. Apparently the coins were made into specialised 'gnr' coins. It was unbelievably abject and naff.

Will you be catching any of The Who's lobby shows at the Ibis? Great chance to see a legendary band "up close and personal". I think you get a free breakfast and cup of tea with every ticket too.

That's doesn't sound anything at all like the Las Vegas I know, what the hell got into them? Bringing all that naff shit to a classy town like Vegas.

Funny how the only place on earth this conversation could take place and there be anyone claiming GnR the bigger band is on a GnR forum.  Weird eh?

Last time The Who came to my town they were playing an arena and were charging £80. I didn't go but it was a sell out, just as the time before that was also sold out.
