artfromtex
acoustic does not equal bluegrass. that ain't even close. it's good, but it ain't bluegrass. Hayseed Dixie does a real bluegrass version of Walk This Way if you're interested. and it's really cool, by the way.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muyqMrsuLXw Edited August 25, 2006 by artfromtex

adnan
There are no drums in Bluegrass.Yeah yeah, it's not really bluegrass, just Joe Perry's guitar sounds like it. Didn't want to call it acoustic, because they obviously attempted to give it a bluegrass flavor.Changing title to acoustic.

adnan
Great show this was. Awesome semi-acoustic version of Can't Stop Messin', proof that Joe Perry is a superb guitarist and performer. MUST SEE:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWbvxTu4NOQBest version of Livin' on the Edge, better than the album version:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qppNmcLCagoCryin', decent acoustic version:http://youtube.com/watch?v=KwXpLDIAfQo
madison
Steve Tyler is awesome. He's still got it going on big-time. He looks and sounds amazing. That's one of the few bands I've never seen live - and I'd really like to. But did you see the lame fans at the front? The ones just standing there hardly moving to the music - as if they were watching a college professor give a lecture?

adnan
He really epitomizes cool when he's on stage. He is so damn entertaining to watch it's hard to believe.Few guitarists outshine the frontmen on stage, and Joe is right up there with Townsend. Malicious Matt
He's great. There's a part in the Rockin' The Joint doubledisc where he takes off his shirt and smacks his guitar with it. And it still sounds good! The man is amazing.(ps. If this doesnt sound cool to you, go buy the damn dvd)
ronaldo9
One of, if not my favorite guitarists ever. I saw Aerosmith last year in Columbus, and I was kind of surprised that I found myself paying more attention to Joe than Steven. Both of them are great entertainers, but like you said Adnan, "Joe epitomizes cool on stage." He really does get the crowd involved and he uses the catwalks just as much as Steven. He also did the thing with his shirt that Malicious Matt is talking about at the end of Draw the Line at the show I went to. Overall, he's one of the greatest live guitarists that I have ever seen. adnan
Screw Aerosmith and any other band that wants me to pay $400 to see them.Frankly, I'm shocked at what some people are saying about the ticket prices for the MC/Aero shows, there are shows that aren't sold out yet where the most expensive tickets are a $125 which is reasonable as far as I'm concerned. You must be thinking of tickets NOT from ticketmaster. For the Columbus show:http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/05003CCC...mp;minorcatid=1New England:http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/1D003CC9...mp;minorcatid=1Nashville:http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/1B003CD7...mp;minorcatid=1$150 for both bands is the highest it goes, and it's most regularly $125. *FiberGlass Doll*
I saw Aerosmith last December they were great. Whenever Joe Perry wen't close up to the side of the stage people would start grabbing him but whenever tom Hamilton or brad whitford wen't up close people would back away. It was pretty sad acculy .
