I listened to about half of that.

Band doesn't sound very tight. Get a better a drummer. Vocalist shouldn't attempt the "hey hey yeahs". Sounds bad.

Finally, your band name is fucking awful and you'll get nowhere with it. Change it immediately.

Just signed up to this site the other day, I have always been a GN'R fan; I bought AFD on cassette back in 1991 and no band has come close since. I started reading this site when it came up in a Google search for something Axl related a few weeks ago. There are some really hardcore fans here!

Anyway,I thought I would make my first post here, introducing myself and my music. The project is called Sound Of A Gun; at the moment everything on the Soundcloud page is my playing, but I should have a lead guitarist, bass player and drummer for the proper recordings.

All the recordings, arrangments, production and mixing is me as well, so if you go back you will hear a noticable decrease in quality! Anyway, here are a couple of the latest tracks:

Looking forward to getting to know some real GN'R fans!

Awesome! Especially Hope Still Remains. Where are you located? Also would be sweet to know your gear/recording set up if you get a chance to post in The Gear Thread in this section.

Im in metro Detroit, and am in a metal band named Mound Road Engine, we dont play as much, but, we keep our shows packed out. Supply and demand, lol.

Couldn't find any studio recordings, but I liked how Digga and Live In Me sound live, any studio recordings on the net?

Glad you guys like them! I would like to start a thread about the project; It has been a long time since I started on it. I am out of the UK until tomorrow, so I will post one up once I am back.

I have got a ten track album of demos (even more that didn't make the cut) so it would be cool to get some feedback from you guys.

It's been that long I've been in this thread, I'd forgotten I'd started it!

Anyhoo, did our first recordings with the new band a few weeks back.

Female fronted Punky/Post-punky kinda rock stuff with occasional dual vocal stuff.

On the old FB here - https://www.facebook.com/AutoVon

Tunes on here (FREE to download if you fancy) - https://soundcloud.com/autovonband

If you like what you hear, give us a 'Like' on FB and let us know :)

Then go and tell your pals

cheers

I have finally got our old stuff from our old guitarist and have started uploading the tracks onto Soundcloud, I have 5 on there so far and also the demo versions of each track. I don't know if I have demo versions of all the songs, but I will be uploading everything eventually. There are two playlists; The LIPA playlist which is the final recording of each song, they were recorded at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and the Demo Playlist, which would have been recorded with a couple of condenser mics at each end of a rehearsal room.

Hearing tracks that are this old (12-13 years ago) is kind like looking at photographs of yourself as a teenager; you were convinced at the time you were cool as fuck, but upon reflection, maybe you weren't! It is history though and a cool way to have the old music on display. Please have a listen and enjoy!

Well I'm not in a band but I do music on my own. It's just me, my guitar, some effect pedals, and vocals. I don't know what you would exactly call it but sometimes I go the lo-fi stoner/noise rock route and other times the shoegaze/no wave route. At least with these 4 songs. I like to write and record all different kinds of shit. Why limit yourselves to one genre I always say.
