Will the next record be more polished?

Recommended Posts

Given the band members seem more professional, technical, glossy than even the band that did CD?

Or is Bucket more computer than Ron?

Ron seems to have a more metal edge, 4tus more glam then Tobias, Dj less sloppy and feel than Robin? more glam metal. Frank doesn't seem like he's a drum programmer specialist, more like a hard rock drummer.

It seems like they would make a prog glam metal record with more glossy 00s production.

Could anything possibly be more polished than Chinese Democracy?

Yes, it could be more glossy, less grunge acoustics and industrial parts replaced by sixx am soaring guitars and Ron shredding over glam metal riffs with Hail to the King production.

CD just has a lot of parts, bells n whistles and various styles to tinker with. It's not glossy and professional like even a Nickleback record is or Fever by BFMV.

I'm talking Hysteria by Def Leppard polished

It needs less polish, more cowbell.

Frank is working on it.

00s cowbell.

WTF are grunge acoustics?

You know when they have an acoustic guitar strumming in the background on IRS, or even the vibe of Better and Chi dem have a acoustic guitar feel. Even Catcher and TWAT time have grunge feel.

Acoustic guitars have nothing to do with grunge. And I'm pretty sure the only clean guitar on CD(the song) is in the intro. What are you talking about?

That's the trend of recent times though. Sixx am is very produced, not real live feel, leaning towards more metal production. I can't see it being as 90s production wise. Those Radiohead drum loops will go too.

What the fuck with these threads. Are we simply allowing the forum to become entirely self parody? Just let me know cuz I'll let loose.

You should just make your own thread. I'm just interested in what the production of the next record could be.

Whatever comes out next will be following years of criticism for over-production. If anything, it'll probably sound closer to a Bumblefoot album, or the song Tommy did with Fortus and Dizzy.

DJ has made it clear that the last thing he wants is for future GnR songs to sound like Sixx A.M.

So you think Goin' Down is the type of production we'll get next. Something less produced than AFD? Game changer maybe, would be interesting. Like a full version of Lies. They could re-record everything in 2 weeks to get that the energy of their live shows.

Guest Len B'stard

He's a great one for polishing records, that Axl. Some might say the biggest record polisher in rock history.

If somehow we did actually get another nu album, it'll probably be leftover cd material with tweaks from dj and bumble.

Axl said in the chats "if you didn't like this, you won't like that" or something to that extent. So it'd probably sound like cd for the most part.

We'll probably never find out for sure though, and I honestly feel sorry for the poor bastards that deluded themselves into thinking they will :shrugs:
