  1. I'm sure it's there, but my beef is with the origin of the photo. Is it from a roadie? Did it just magically appear on the internet one day? Whose name is that? Etc. Not much convincing so far, plus the miserable quality...
  2. I thought of it, but if HS is from 96 (I think that seems to be the consensus) and these songs from 99, the 3-year gap doesn't sound like the logical determinant here.
  3. Slash said the songs to come "don't have that kind of history", so Idk about Atlas or Perhaps...
  4. In terms of disrespect to history, we could talk about Axl from a whole bunch of points of views, but let's not go there. Let’s just be nice, albeit slightly hypocritical, forum fans. Long live Merchnando et al.! Gotta go, bid you a good day, kind sir.
  5. That’s your opinion and I have no problem respecting it (a lesson to learn right there for some, huh), but I just look at it simply: TIL and other songs’ solos aren’t even iconic enough to be played too rigorously. Slash’s vibe just... overrules it anyway. Plus we’re not talking about him taking like the TWAT solo and playing it in a completely different key and different notes, are we. In any case, I’ll take his "not respecting" the other material and being himself over doing the opposite 100% of the time, thank you very much. PS: Your posts come off as made by someone who’s really, and I mean fucking really, sure about their opinion. It’s kinda weird, when you think about it. Peace.
  6. Nope, wrong logic: BBF doesn't happen to be a "set in the stone SCOM legend", which is the crucial difference, sorry. He was obligated to play legacy songs "as is", period. And this is me talking who considers BBF the best and nicest NuGNR member.
  7. Tbh I don't blame Slash for winging CD songs. Never have, never will. I mean, why wouldn't he. He's a SCOM set to stone icon, and that's what it's all about. And I think he's basically showing it in his typical cool way: yeah I'm gonna play it, but Imma do it my way, not bothering with learning the stuff so closely (cause why would I, this is not Welcome to the Jungle, which we wrote), and while I respect the Ax man, I still prefer the real GNR stuff, obviously. So here you go, take it or leave it. This is no irony, I like him for not catering to whatever the BS may be going on behind the curtain (with an almost unnoticeable small "TB" logo sewed on it), at least in this sphere. Sorry, hangover...
  8. Oh ok, but it's not the one from CD. This probably escaped me but phew.
  9. What? He didn't play on Riad, where did you get that.
  10. Dude, don’t wanna burst your bubble, but we know absolutely nothing about stuff like focus, level of vocals completion, or what’s (not) being worked on. We have a whole lot of folk tales, assumptions, and speculations, but we have no leads or clues as to what they may or may not be working on, especially regarding the demos from 20+ years ago... For all we know, The General has exactly the same chance of being released as Atlas Shrugged or Perhaps.
  11. Yeah I mean, his voice is not getting any better any more, we’re past the situations where he came back surprisingly strong after some break (2006, 2016), even though there can be occasional nice surprises, like the end of, what was it 2021, 2022? – where he rasped the last PC etc. The way to go is what he seems to have embraced finally – adjusting the playlist to his current abilities, i.e. playing songs like Bad Obsession and DOTF, doing PTU in the low voice, and dropping impossible stuff like Better. Stinkers like TIL should go as well.
  12. Frank's breaks/patterns are disruptive, damn it. I'll never get used to it.
  13. We both know that's not gonna happen. Same with RQ, speaking of.
