Think about it... one of the problems of the old band was that various "management people" partially messed up the musicians’ relationships, plus the band ended up basically being ruled by a single band member. Nowadays... well... that’s a question for the management.

Is there a particular link? Also, unless the guy is a real fan, "new GNR music" could be Perhaps and e.g. some B-side. It is technically new. Sure, there could be a couple of other songs (see Slash’s interviews), but I wouldn’t expect a surprise album drop or anything. It would be nice to get an EP, though.

I think it's clear they're releasing Perhaps. I mean, they've been rehearsing it at soundchecks. We know they haven't started with the new album yet, just these cd tracks, so what else could it be.

Pitman got something but less than what he'd asked for. I don’t think Axl would want to involve him in anything present/future regarding GN’R, so why not replace his parts.
