I wouldn’t say I disagree, but there’s one hitch: if he does this, people will start comparing his "solo" stuff with whatever new they’d release later with Slash. And I’m not sure whether he’d come out of it as the winner and whether he’d be comfortable with this. Not to mention it would be quite weird to currently release material containing people who quit about 2 decades ago, now that the original line-up has partly reunited. Imagine the casuals: Who did you say is that playing the guitar again? Buckethead? Why? Where's Slash and Duff? What tf is this? But yes, I’d definitely like to hear the CD vault material as well.

Releasing music is what music bands do. Especially those who haven’t done anything of the sort in decades and recently reunited and keep dangling carrots regarding tons of material. Writers don’t just do public readings, they also release the actual, you know, products. For the majority to enjoy it at home in the original version, any time and any way they like. But yeah, let’s rather find another excuse for NITL leg 78654, this time with a different cover and another rehashed old demo.

Seeing that some folks expected Perhaps: not that I wouldn’t wish it to the concert goers, but this is not 1991, and hearing it live first wouldn’t do the song any good. Granted the chorus’ raspy part will probably be taken over by Melissa and Duff, and the second part has the clean voice anyway... but it still should be released first and only then done live imo.

Yeah, I always say let them book the shows and run the merch but hire someone else for releases and PR / communication with the fans. There is, however, one flaw in this: Axl’s not evidently too interested in sharing information with the fans on any large scale, so basically their poor communication skills are clearly not an issue to him. Why would he change anything then.

Yeah but plans change, don't they? And since people already know this thing is coming, as it's already leaked, maybe some comment wouldn't be a completely bad idea. Given their poor release history, people pay attention to even small potatoes like this. After all, the info has already appeared on some music webs. They need to act more flexibly. But yes, it's ultimately up to the one man.

I’m not saying you’re wrong. But I still somehow believe things would be different if the management was more competent. And I don’t believe something like an unofficial little "stay tuned" from TB’s side somewhere in the social media would piss Axl off so much. (Tom Mayhue can’t be officially considered a part of the band’s management, even though some probably think so.) No, either they’re not doing a good job, or there’s a curse that seems to have been sticking on this band for decades, whether it’s problems with gigs, weather, in-ear monitors, leaks, sub-par design, or official releases. It's just too much for a coincidence, man.

Another old demo single, another leak, another screw-up... Even if it may not be TB’s fault this time, the least they could do is make an official statement. Or create a countdown on the website. Or at least another of the sporadic Reddit posts Merchnando makes every 10 years or so. But as usual – nada. No surprises there. I hope the song won’t flop. I don't even dare hope they'd make a proper video for it.

Huh? There's a 5ish minute song on YT including the long intro. There are vocals and guitars, and it's almost better than the whole Village thing. Evader mix I believe.

You probably haven't heard his vocals in TIL the Brain remix. Nothing comes even close to that.
