  1. I’ve asked some AI what it thinks about Skynet, Terminator 2 etc., and it basically said 'I have to go now'.
  2. Chinese Democracy. There’s not a single major chord in that song, is there. All minors. Fuckin' perverts.
  3. You're right there. That would be the same as wondering why he hasn't released an autobiography.
  4. The minimum they could do is patch together a couple of these 20-second clips from the tour they keep "teasing" us with (as if a DVD was imminent) and make at least a semi-decent official video. And then do a proper interview with pre-selected topics (not the new album, for the love of god, that’s a Pentagon top secret!), telling us something about the songs. They released two singles two years ago, yet to date haven’t given us a single bit of information regarding their origin, background, anything. Who does this? Labels don’t always have to be involved and spend vast amounts of money when all the band could do is just make this minimal effort and that itself would bring some nice results. It doesn’t always have to be all-in, does it.
  5. Sure, but many bands in GNR’s tier don’t tease new music for years. And they communicate with the fans normally. But yeah, you can always choose a suitable personal view from which you wanna look at things. I don’t think what this particular band exactly needs is a lot of apologetics, though.
  6. My guess would be Blabbermouth and the likes are quite followed, and in any case it suffices for the word to get out IMO. In these days when links are shared with lightning speed through social media etc. ... think about it.
  7. I think it's a marketing campaign. The leaked countdown link was not a mistake. It's the laziest kind of promotion, but it works - you don't have to do anything but let this thing "accidentally" slip and then just sit back and enjoy the buzz.
  8. Did a little HW and now I know why I've confused them. They're both UYI gigs, I have both bootlegs somewhere, they both start with Perfect Crime, and after all, they are both three-syllable words (Inglewood, Rutherford). See? I'm not a complete Alzheimer case yet!
  9. The reason was born in Lafayette, IN, on February 6, 1962. He had a different name back then, but when certain Jeffrey Isbell saw him for the first time, shouting and running away from teachers, he knew something extraordinary was going to happen in the music world...
  10. Right? I always love how people make excuses for GNR not releasing new music, while other bands normally do it, because, well, that’s what bands are supposed to do. It’s nice to see a gig, but you want to have something to listen to at home. I mean, that is the final product. If you’re a writer, you don’t just do public readings, you also publish the actual books, don’t you. What a no-brainer.
  11. My mistake, I meant Inglewood. Idk where I got Rutherford! Well, Perhaps can wait then.
  12. They should put it out before East Rutherford, which is kind of a historic staple (longest show). That means Monday, do you hear me out there?
  13. The thing with Izzy at the beginning involves one thing that baffles me to this day. According to them (Axl or Slash said that, or both), the initial plan was to only do a couple of shows. I really have no idea what would have happened afterwards (assuming this statement is true at all). Retirement? NuGNR? No way. As for Izzy’s role, it’s obviously a question of how much he was supposed to be involved. He wouldn’t have travelled with the band for the entire NITL, i.e. for years on. But then, if they really planned just maybe one year of sporadic concerts, he probably could have been fully part of it – in which case he would have been right about them not wanting to share the loot, provided this is what happened. Because in that case, all of them should have been credited equally. (This would have made 4tus redundant, btw. I don't think Izzy would have gone for 3 guitars.) So which was it? Just a couple of shows – and them being greedy not wanting to split the money equally? Or did Izzy want to just guest on a couple of gigs and required the same money (in which case I would understand why they wouldn’t succumb to that)? Or something else? And since they clearly don’t wanna stir any shit, there’s silence about the whole thing, as usual. But considering how Steven wanted to play more songs and TB wouldn't let him... I don't know, man. Again, if that is true at all.
  14. Yeah I’m obviously not including LALD and KOHD, as I sort of consider them already "adopted". But as for the rest... it hasn’t been that great in this sphere in the recent years anyway, has it. Black Hole Sun, Slither... they suck, as far as I’m concerned. Well, it’s obviously all about Axl’s vocals. And why the Seeker anyway? Again, an easy song where he can slack off and just go all low register, but otherwise, what’s so special about the tune? Is there a breathtaking guitar solo? No. Is there some gooseflesh scream? No. Should it stay on the alt. setlist for good then? Again, no. The Seeker can suck it, for all I care. If they absolutely need to play covers and want to do something exciting, how about Aerosmith (something around 93, Get a Grip etc.)? Or AC/DC? He still can handle some of that and sounds good. Yes, I may be in a minority with this, but to me, the covers have been boring since around 2017, sorry. I’d prefer My World mixed with Eye on You with Pitman’s guesting on sub-bass and Ashba on bongos. : )
  15. No, stuff it. And any other covers. Are we so fed up with those dozens and dozens of GNR albums filled with their own songs that we need yet another cover?
  16. To be fair, he wasn't forced out for his opinions, he was banned for never-ending obnoxious trolling and destroying every thread. PS: I don't follow you here, so Idk what this debate is about. I have no horse in the race.

  18. She has 1992 Axl's legs! Aaand that's my daily dosage of weird comments.
  19. This sentence appears in this thread periodically every few weeks or so. Also, there should be a place for general "new album" gossip, otherwise people will start derailing other threads with it anyway.
  20. If you shift the "kinda like doom metal" rather to the stoner rock or whatever it's called that Cathedral played on the later records, it definitely makes sense. It kind of reminds me of Black Sabbath, too.
