Didn’t you happen to have had a major change of heart recently? I may be wrong, but as far as I remember, you used to defend the band and anything they do on the stage to death afaik.

I definitely praise the setlist alternations, especially the first couple of gigs, which reminded me of the beginning of 2016. I also appreciate Axl finally acknowledging some self-reflection and incorporating songs that better suit his current abilities, i.e. low-register stuff like PTU, Bad Obsession, or Down on the Farm. Good songs, too. The negative stuff is, well, as usual. His voice getting worse (reflected even by reviewers now), yet another tour with nothing new bar a few deep cuts, and no new music released. Overall not bad, but all this could have already happened in 2021, and they could have been working in the studio as we speak.

It's all on him. After all, people seem to enjoy even stuff like Absurd, so I'd say the overthinking only stems from a single source. It's understandable, he's a legend and has a legacy to preserve, but as you say, if this is the result, then... jeez.

Even if they release and play a new single during the US run, it’s still a weird practice. I know it’s their homeland, but why would you disrespect your European fans like this? (I’ve even heard European crowds are more enthusiastic than the North American ones, which are supposedly less forgiving, colder etc. Don’t quote me, I’ve just heard it, may be nonsense.) Why would you flip off the rest of the world like this? Why not release a new single before the actual goddamn tour even starts? Or better yet, release one song before each leg! We know there’s more than one ready to go, ffs...

Vague promises of new music to come as we speak (made by someone else than the musicians themselves). Links containing hints disappearing, whether by order of the management or due to "technical difficulties". People speculating that releasing a new single would be logical this time because [insert a reason that would be perfectly applicable if it was for some other band]. No communication whatsoever regarding anything. I.e. no, no news.
