  1. Plus the fact we saw a proper broadcast. When a band is this notoriously known for not releasing anything (e.g. 7 years in the tour and no DVD yet), then any positive deviation has people excited more than what would be considered adequate/expectable in other (i.e. normal) cases...
  2. It was a standard good show of 2023. No surprise deep cuts, but thankfully they didn’t screw up either. The frenzy here was imo mostly because of the magnitude of this particular venue and mainly because we got to see an official live broadcast and have a pro-shot now. Other than that, it wasn’t any different from the other 2023 shows, except there were no previously unplayed songs. This is what it is these days; it stands or falls with Axl. Some people are still surprised, and some of the journalists apparently hadn’t heard Axl in 10 years or something. Wouldn’t wanna be in that place tbh.
  3. I know it means nothing, but seeing Axl and Slash in a studio is... intriguing.
  4. You know what song would make more sense? Sailing! Granted Axl could nail it. What a treat that would be.
  5. Not The Seeker again?! If it's raining and Axl puts on the yellow raincoat again... oh my.
  6. I predict a stable show. Nothing more, nothing less. A surprise would be nice, though. And in any case, they haven't played an exactly same setlist on this tour yet, which in itself is pretty cool.
  7. Haven't seen it yet. I should give it a go this weekend.
  8. So maybeee Tomorrow’s gig will be lazyyy And after all We won’t play Perhaps at all Soooo Beta can wait She knows it’s never too late As she rakes in new dough
  9. Yeah, it does get tiring. Whatever you guys think, just please don't go start making lists again. Remember CubanSkiesDummy?
  10. According to Htgth and setlist.fm, it was not played after all. Idk. Are there no Norwegian forum dwellers?
  11. I'm not talking about tictoc shit snippets, I'm talking about "proper" videos, i.e. landscape.
  12. Crowdsurfers are the least of the problem. What I do mind is the smartphone maniacs. You can't see shit. In fact, standing in the mosh pit has lost all purpose now. I get taking a picture or two. And yes, I'm glad that someone's broadcasting for us here. But all these people... they're not gonna watch it anyway. The sound will be shitty. They often cut their recording in the song finale, i.e. in the best moment. They record in portrait mode. Etc. It's horrible these days, and no, I'm not a boomer.
  13. Interesting that Mr. B. was the one chosen to be canned for this night (first time since 93, right?). It would have been much wiser to skip TIL. In one of these gigs, he even had to sing one line lower; I don’t know why he keeps doing this to himself. I mean, who cares if TIL goes? In any case, I’m glad they keep their word this time and still mess with the playlist, like in those early 2016 gigs. This is the way to keep things fresh and interesting. And hats off for Reckless Life, that must be a tough fucker to do.
  14. Shocking! I mean, it's GNR, i.e. full pro-shot HQ stream was to be expected naturally, no?
  15. I love the song (yeah, a minority), but it would sound like the Dustin Bones fella on YT these days...
  16. The fact that he autistically repeated the same shit forever wasn't as bad as the fact he kept ruining every single thread he set foot in with it.
  17. Definitely not taking any sides here, but as far as I remember, what the Pele guy was saying is that all they’ll release are these Village songs that have lyrics, and that’s all. They surely have done that so far, and more songs in the same vein may come, but that doesn’t mean he "was right", because we don’t know what will come next, do we. And as soon as they release a different song that we either don’t know about or that didn’t have lyrics in the Village bunch, his theories are over. Plus he was acting like a sociopath... but then, he’s not the only one here, regardless of opinion "sides".
  18. I'll put it here. https://blabbermouth.net/news/guns-n-roses-bassist-duff-mckagan-announces-third-solo-album-lighthouse
  19. They started to play UYI songs in January and released the actual thing in September. However, they definitely should release a single first and only then do it live, not the other way round. The live version could kinda harm the initial impression.
  20. I am not doing that. This is a place for chatting, and we’re chatting about his voice, making assumptions, conjectures, speculations, and voicing opinions, as usual. His voice-wise, what I suggested would be the best thing to do. As much as I love him, he's been ruining what's left in his tank by cash-grab touring. By your logic, we shouldn’t comment on anything. Were they playing the same setlist in the recent years? Let them live their life, they don’t play for people on the internet! Basically, we should turn into Htgth and just praise everything, no? Shit happens, people will comment on it, deal with it. That’s what this place is for, last time I checked. Perhaps. More of a mystery of the 2002 vs 2006 difference.
