Nah, Axl just mentioned they were going to HawaII for the first time, after having been to Iceland for the first time. Fernando even has his tour jacket in the Hawaiian theme. They just want to play there.

About the pit: they sold pit 1 and 2 in Gelsenkirchen too, but it was just one big pit and everyone (EE anyway) went in the same side, so there were no two pits, didn't matter if you bought Slash or Duff side. Maybe it's the same in Hawaii.

True. But the states is seated and the middle section in front of the catwalk is seats. So there are 2 sections.

Not sure on the pit situation but they won't cancel. Quite a few Europe gigs had plenty of seats unsold and even sections cut off. Iceland was nowhere near full, and Hawaii seems the equivalent of Iceland for this run. (Essentially on the way back to the US)

Yeah. I know. I was in Iceland, but that was different. It was on the way home, 2 days after Gothenborg. Before Hawaii there is a 9 day break. That kinda worries me. They might as well say 'Screw that. We're going home right away.'

  3. On Ticketmaster "Welcome to the jungle - Early Entry package" is only offered for Pit 1 (Slash's side), not for Pit 2 (Duff's side). Does anyone know if the only offered Early Entry for Pit 1 from the get go or did they offer it for both sides, but Pit 2 is sold out. Both scenarios don't make much sense to me. Why would they limit sale (and lose cash) for Early Entry? And why would Duff's side sell out first?

Also there are still plenty of tickets left. Is anyone going worried that they might cancel?

However, if/when he chastises 45 over boorish and/or unprofessional behavior, that would certainly be hypocritical.

No. It's not. Axl is a "stupid" rock star, only responsible for himself. Trump is the president of the USA. A person, who should serve the people of the USA. A person, who should be a leading example. And as that, even a "stupid" rock star can call him out, without looking like a hypocrite. And as you said, Axl has cleaned up his act for the most part.

It should be pointed out that I didn't state ''Slash's views on teetotalism'' but ''militant temperance'', and to answer the question, because he'd be laughed out of court.

Uhm, yeah. You said "merits of teetotalism". Not sure what the other means. But why would he be laughed out of court (?? which court?) if he would talk about the former. Why can't a former alcoholic not say that it's better without alcohol? He experienced both. It's the same like when someone, who never took a sip in his life, talks about the "merits of teetotalism". He only speaks theoretical, but doesn't have first hand experience. And still nobody would laugh him out of anything.

I have said this before but when somebody from entertainment involves themselves in politics it forces the public to reassess that person in a way they wouldn't normally. You have to be rather ''whiter than white'' (no pun intended) or inherently risk opening yourself up to public ridicule and charges of hypocrisy. If Slash started preaching about the merits of teetotalism we'd all say, ''what a wanker. That drunk was pissed off his head for most of his life yet he is now lecturing me on having this 'ere Shandy Bass?''.

And? So? He has these opinions either way, regardless of whether he posts them on Twitter or not. So what do you need to reassess?? You prefer to not know about his views, especially when they are not the same as yours, so you can continue to claim ignorance and live in the bubble of not knowing as oppossed to know what the man feels on certain topics? And then, what does that change?? Does his music suddenly start to suck, because he has different views than you? Does your fantasy picture of him crumble, because it turns out he might not be the guy you thought he was?

As for Slash, why would he not be allowed to give his views on teetotalism, especially given his history and first hand knowledge of what alcohol can do to a person?!

I know this, but Axl house already ii dangerous zone, you can't evacuate the animals the last minute ,when fire is already next, this is i refered.

Once they get the word to evacuate, like all the others, who did already, they will do so. Or they already have, depending on how many animals there actually are. Either way, I'm sure they are cared for.

Now, with GNR reunion and Slash releasing new music with SMKC (this band is 8 years old now!), should we look forward to see something fresh on that matter

As long as GNR is happening, I say, no way. Slash either does the group, which is GNR or his own thing, which is MK + Conspirators. What would be the point to resurrect another band to juggle? Same for Duff.

Why is Del getting his knickers in a twist then?

It is the poor people I get concerned about in situations like this, not the millionaires.

I get the sentiment and in a way a agree (especially when these millionaires get on their IGs asking people to donate, if the wealthy community of Malibu/Hollywood/L.A. gets together, they could sort things out for anyone not that wealthy), but just imagine your house burning down. Even if you would have the funds to replace everything, it's a pain in the ass and there are things no money in the world will bring back.

JFC, people are even making the fire a political thing . People are losing their homes to something they have no control over and people are looking for someone to blame. I'm not talking about anyone on this board, ofc.

Wasn't it Trump, who started to throw the blame around? At a time which is the absolute worst to throw any blame?

I love the idea of Michael being captured right after that original Halloween night and now he escapes 40 years later. This should be good. He's got to be near 65, but I bet his killing spree hasn't slowed down at all.

Also I didn't really think about it, but Michael only killed 3 people in the original Halloween movie. Somehow it seemed to be more? lol

Yes. They diminished him to a loser (as in 'not good at what he does', not that I give you the impression that I think that the undiminished Michael is a hero ;) ) who killled a measly 5 people and was locked up all his life. Hardly notorious.

H20 could have been the film this one is shaping up to be.

H20 is the film this one wants to be. As far as final confrontation goes, the H20 confrontation and Laurie is much more believable than Terminator 2-over the top-nutjob Laurie. What happened in '78 was tragic, but to think that that would dominate and ruin her life for the next 40 years doesn't seem plausible to me.

so if im understanding this all correctly, these are the all the different movie timelines (I'll skip the third one since it isn't connected to anything at all):

    1 - 2 - 4 - 5 - 6

    1 - 2 - H20 - Resurrection

    the two rob zombie movies

    1 - new movie

    ...Did I get it right?

    HalloweenFlowchart.jpg?ssl=1

Saw it yesterday and thought it was disappointing. Could have been so much better. I'm not a fan of retcons and being told that all previous movies don't matter. I hated that he's no longer her brother. The Sarah Connors Laurie was way over the top and with them removing Michael's history it just made her a nutjob, waiting for something that didn't make sense, being way too affected by something that happened 40 years ago. There was no real reason for her to expect him to come after her again. And really, he didn't. It was just coincidence. Also with them removing all of Michael's history, he's just a loser who killed 5 people and spent 55 of his 61 years locked up. Hardly notorious. The whole thing didn't quite gel for me. And I'm a huge Halloween fan. Halloween is my favourite movie (and no, this one was not as great as the original, also not the best sequel) and Halloween is my favourite horror franchise.

Are you being serious? At least half this forum would disagree with that.

In your wet dreams. And even if it would be somwhat half this forum, which it definitely isn't, this forum is not representative. It's the tinyiest fraction. Ask the people who made them make close to half a billion $ on this tour and you will see that no one would give a shit about GNR music without Slash.

It makes the most sense for Axl to release a CD 10th Anniversary set with CD2 etc. and promote that while Slash focuses on the SMKC tour. Then when that's all over, the guys can relax for a bit before getting Guns back together to focus on a new new album, and then start the touring cycle again.

But this is GN'R, so fuck logic, right?

Nobody gives a shit about CD. Now fewer than ever.

  16. On his goals for 2019 and beyond:

Slash: "Next year is all touring [with THE CONSPIRATORS], but going beyond that, obviously I'm not going to not mention wanting to do a GUNS record along the way. It's not a personal challenge or anything, but I would love to see a GUNS record get done and have it be, to us, really great. That would be awesome. I'm looking forward to THE CONSPIRATORS tour. I'm really happy with the record. For the most part, that's it — do this tour, let's hope for a GUNS thing, let's just keep it all going."

what a cool location! Has any superfamous band played in Hawaii before? I wish I could go but I'm too far away and its way too expensive. but for us fans a great thing to combine a dream holiday with a dream concert!

Yes. Plenty. Really considering this. I saw Janet Jackson there back in '99 and I kinda want to go back there for some time now. But yeah. It is expensive. Especially since you don't only go there for 3 days.

Why do I think there will be no new Guns n’ Roses music from this lineup? Simple. The cycle. What do I mean? Look at the patterns from the past 25 years. A band member, including Axl, says something vague like “we will be working on something new hopefully soon”...yet nothing comes of it. This includes every band member. Slash. Duff. Dizzy. Dorris. Axl! Pitman. Stinson. Bumble. Finck. Every band member hopes for new music, but yet nothing ever comes of it.

The argument in this case is the 2008 album, Chinese Democracy. This album being released is a near-miracle. There was so much pressure to release this album in coordination with the leaks to the point where Axl was cornered and had no choice but to throw it out there. I solely believe he would’ve tinkered with it for another few decades if he wasn’t nearly forced to release it.

The sole thing preventing a release of this album is none other than the ringleader, the man who’s username I replicated when I joined (hell, my username in general is very ironic regarding this topic..). That’s right, Axl Rose. He is the number one thing blocking and crushing any minor hope of a new reason. 6/7, or in the Nu days, 7/8 of the band could pray for a new album release and it still would never have a prayer of happening due to his inability and moreso, his lack of desire, to release new music. Bumble, back in his days of being part of the band, did everything he could trying to get a new release. He suggested to management they at least tour with a new single. He was shut down. In an ironic way considering his latest album release, Axl is not running a democracy.

And I love Chinese! Great album, in fact, my favorite Guns album! But I don’t ignore that it was a living nightmare to release and in fact, damaged the guns name.

If Axl wanted to release something, you would’ve heard it by now. Simple as that. No, there’s no arbitrary contract deal with another company, none of that crap. He simply does not wish to release music. He says otherwise, but yet ironically we haven’t heard anything of substance since Chinese.

Could you imagine if him, Beta, or Fernando outright said “no, no more new music. We’re going to tour the hits forever.”? They would get backlash up the ass. Instead, they play it safe and clever. They tease the forefront of new material without ever following up upon it.

Let’s not forget Axl is in no rush to release music like he was in the CD days. He’s satisfied with his life. He’s made amends with most of his demons and enemies from the past. He’s entering his 60’s and his golden sunset years. New music is not a priority!

You think I’m kidding? We heard leaks upon leaks upon leaks during the Chinese era. Now? We get some crappy remixes from the DJ Ashba era and thats about it. There are no signs pointing to new music.

I’d love a new album. I’d be the first person in line to buy it. But we need to face reality guys. There’s no such thing planned and the sooner we accept it, the sooner we can all move on. Life’s too short. There are other albums and musicians who tour with new songs worth your money. Hell, Duff and Slash in their solo bands are some of them. But Guns simply, are not one of those bands. Face the music. Or in this case, the lack thereof.

A whole lot of blablabla, but at the end it means nothing. If they want to release an album they will. If they don't want, they won't. Chances are 50:50. So whatever.
