  1. If they do have a new album, or EP, or whatever, they would need to mix them and remaster them, assuming they include the slow drip singles. Though, apparently they put The General and Perhaps on the same CD/vinyl. How stupid, they must sound awful going from one to the other, unless they got them to the same levels.
  2. I got a shipping notification on December 8th, but when I track it, it says only the label has been printed. It's a lame tactic shitty companies do. They print the label well in advanced of actually shipping it out, to make it seem like they are speedy.
  3. I couldn't agree more on the bass. Most of the demos had it at a good level in those rough mixes. The Sean Beavan mix of TWAT really had it set good, and the 2000 mixes of CD as well.
  4. A guy at work last night told me he developed diabetes after his covid vaccine. I had never heard of that before, (typically only heart issues as a result of it/them) so I Googled it at home and there was a study from a .gov website that found it having occurred in some others as well who were genetically more prone to get diabetes. I have had covid at least once. No covid vaccines though.
  5. The poor production of all of the NITL songs except for Perhaps elevated that song for me. (Not considering the far superior 2000 mixes)
  6. The General is on TouchTunes now in the US. Next time I'm at the local bar, I'll play it 2 or three times. Hopefully it won't be so loud like it was last time. (The people) I'll play Perhaps again too.
  7. My guess is they will hold off on any special Chinese Democracy box set similar to what you describe until after they exhaust all re-worked song potential through their exhaustive single release process. That way, they don't release the superior mixes with previous musicians before the NITL lineup fucks them up. I'd also like a 2016 Axl/DC live Blu-ray.
  8. At the very least, and all icon status and reputations aside, those earlier versions with Bucket, Robin, and Brain/Josh are the original mixes of some songs, so I think they will sound more natural and cohesive. Certainly more so than adding guitars 20 years later and re-working them in part.
  9. That part of the song almost seems like a placeholder for something they never got around to doing, and just said F it and released it as is.
  10. Thank God for the Village Leaks. The best thing to have happened since the 2008 Guns N' Roses release.
  11. Imagine if we had a follow-up album as artistically brilliant as the 2008 album (so CD2, call it 12-15 songs) but mixed and mastered as great as TSI. Keep Buckethead and Robin in the tracks, and you have one of the greatest albums of all time right there.
  12. The hold music I'm hearing now waiting for Lenovo support is better than The General instrumentally.
  13. I agree. Duff did great on that. How it kicks in with the Axl harmonizing with the orchestra background in the beginning, one hell of a way to start a song. The biggest gripe of the CD era songs for me (the 2008 album, rather was the lack of bass, it was buried too much, Tommy deserved to be featured more.) All it needs (besides Buckethead and/or Robin and the original mix) is for it to be properly mixed and mastered, how they did Perhaps was good. They need to do more of that with these songs. Hard Skool and The General are examples of piss poor production. Coming from the 2008 album, to that, words can't describe...
  14. I might order the Japanese CD if they don't do a US one. GN'R can't do anything right these days! I wonder if the Japanese one will have Monsters. If so, I'll order 4 of those SOBs.
  15. It will be "fixed" when they decide to release (or leak) the CD-era mixes, featuring original guitarists who created that song.
  16. It’s almost on TouchTunes! I see the artwork there under Guns so it’s coming. Hopefully won’t notice the clipping in the bar setting.
  17. Me too! I wonder if it was later turned into or similar to Izzy's "Box" song. That one has "down by the ocean" from "lives in a box down by the ocean" which is part of the catchy Sweet Home Alabama sounding chorus in Izzy's solo song.
  18. Based on how the 2008 album was mixed, I would guess with high confidence they didn't clip it. 1999 Oh My God was loud, but I don't think clipped.
  19. I listened to the leak of The General after hearing the official FLAC, and I hear the clipping pop in the leak as well.
