Me too, Slash’s solo is growing on me. Unconventional, but it works. Def sleazy and gives it that GNR sound. I like the Robin nod, too

I think if it’s on a 45 it means it will be 6 minutes or less

Hot take- I’d rather get The General than a freshly written song. I want to “close this door”, first. It’d be great for them to write something, but I don’t think it’ll happen. I’ll take this, though!

For sure, it is truly incredible how much mileage Axl has gotten out of those 1999-2001 recording sessions! I named a song “The General” for my band because I always thought it was a cool name. That one’s on streaming but won’t be nearly as good as the GNR one

The orchestra is really interesting for The General. I’ve always been curious to hear the music over it. It will also be a trip to compare the cell clip and Evader’s lyrics

Listening to Perhaps in HQ with good headphones is great! Much better experience compared to the jukebox recordings and even the murkier rip from earlier. I like the mix! Drums are a welcome change. Chorus sounds mean as fuck. Slash’s solo is growing on me. Solid version of the song, I’d say it’s better than the demo. I do miss the lead guitar melody in the verses, though

Yeah, I truly am curious to see how good the song actually is. After all the years of anticipation, it is impossible to live up to the hype, but In curious if it is legitimately good. I like Hard Skool and Perhaps, but they aren’t revolutionary. I can even see why they weren’t on Chinese. Absurd is a mess because of its lyrics and repetition (although I like it in a masochistic way). All these songs feel like what they are to me, Chinese leftovers. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I wonder if The General can rise above that. If not, I think it will have been no wonder that we never got CD2 Either way, I’m thrilled as a GNR fan tonight. I’m pumped to see them Monday I’m counting Soul Monster as heard since I bet Me and My Elvis is that track (obviously not complete though!) Hopefully that is in the next batch since Axl said he did vocals. I’d rather have something “new” than Atlas

It’s such a weird feeling. The General and the locker leaks means we’ll have almost all of the rumored titles we’ve been talking about since 2008 and beyond. Even if a lot dont have vocals, we at least know how they sound. The only notable one we don’t know much about is Seven

Heard a bit of it. Sounds really good! The Robin-Slash part sounds a lot better in HQ as does Slash’s solo. It’s not a mind blowing solo, but it fits fine. Chorus sounds great. Added piano in the verses is welcome, but I miss the lead guitar there I also like Slash’s little flourishes in the verse
