Same! Got OTGM twice in 2016 (heard Slash do it in 2012) and FINALLY got My Michelle in 2017. To date, that’s the only time I have seen a GNR member play it (pretty sure even Adler skipped it when I saw him in 2018)

Who cares, though? The money grabbing nostalgia tour was fucking great. The 3 shows I saw from 2010-2012 were awesome, but I and many others never got to see the real deal. Seeing Axl, Slash, and Duff perform 3 hour shows with deep cuts like Coma brought back was priceless. Those 2016 shows were insanely good, Axl brought the energy for that first year. I wouldn’t trade that tour and the memories for CD2 Pitman should have shut the hell up and cashed the checks. He didn’t start that band and wasn’t part of the version that led to him having a career with it. There wasn’t a follow up to CD in 8 years leading up to that, might as well get the original gang back together. Do you really think we’d have 2 albums if we didn’t have the reunion? I sure as hell don’t.

I still think it’s insane that Chris Pitman, a second keyboard player that no one in the public cares about, torpedoed his greatest career opportunity because of ego. Now he gets to do nothing in obscurity. Crazy

Ashba did add a lot to the band tbh. I doubt we’d have had a Monster Energy tm can on Axl’s piano without him. When I met him in like 2012, he also gave me a free can of Monster Energy tm. I cherish that empty can to this day and sometimes use it as a pillow to soak up the extra energy essence. Energy is very important, and Monster Energy tm does a great job giving us that boost we need I don’t know about you, but if that isn’t rock n roll, I don’t know what is! (He also gave us SWAG, now where would we be without clothes?)

Who would have thought 2011-2012 would get romanticized . I loved the shows I saw them, but the vocals commentary on here back then was not kind. To be fair, it was a huge departure from 2010

I dont want to go into detail too much but why do all these movies have so much CGI? I watched the first few minutes of the red letter media review and they brought up 2 past scenes I mentioned to my friend last night- 1. The opening of The Last Crusade. Just good old fashioned practical effects and it looks great! I enjoyed the opening of Dial well enough, but the opening of Crusade looks more realistic and its over three decades old 2. The 50s chase scene in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull rules and I think that was a better "classic Indy" set piece than anything in Dial. Idk how they went from that to the cartoon monkeys and bugs later in the movie Liked the movie but it was also less "fun" than the others.

I don’t feel like any of that really happened with the movie. Her character felt like another Indiana Jones character; kind of self serving and part of the chase. She wasn’t constantly one upping him, he out smarter her a few times and vice versa. Nothing really “insulted” the hero in the film aside from age itself. He’s noticeably older than in even The Force Awakens, but they can’t be helped. The movie had plenty of issues but not so much for the reasons you bring up a lot. Overall, I think it’s an alright edition. It isn’t like the old ones, but it never could be.

Finally saw it and liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Feels like an epilogue, and I guess it should. last act was bananas, but all the movies are Too bad it’s bombing, but hey, it’s whatever
