Yep. Not technically musical, but the shot of him outside the chapel in the video doing the solo also may be the most iconic image from one of the most iconic videos ever. Definitely should’ve received a credit on the song.

How do you know that’s the same song? Either way, like Perhaps, it was probably written and recorded this year.

Presumably when they reunited the deal must’ve been that any new music released would be credited to all 3. Unlikely it would’ve ever officially came out otherwise anyways.

The General was written this year by Axl, Slash and Duff.

Guns N Roses (partnership) is Axl, Slash and Duff. Any future songs will be credited to at least those 3 by the looks of it. As for the old players, I’m sure they knew the score from the get go. They were paid to sit around in a studio (that Axl wasn’t typically at much) and come up with ideas for the man in the castle.

Better was included in the set a lot longer than it should have been imo. Axl simply couldn’t sound very good on it.

I think they realized that they can’t skate by on the legacy anymore after 7 years. Probably were getting outside pressure due to the lackluster sales of these baseball park shows (all heavily discounted and many closing off upper decks). Whatever the cause, happy we’re finally seeing some legit effort.

Both writers seemed like they knew what they were talking about. Although the Gazette one may need a better editor: Not only did they get their first GNR show in seven years, but a legit new song and video on the eve of the concert with “Perhaps,” the third single from the band since “Hard Skool” in 2021.

I’ve enjoyed the week as well, but the best thing in GNR land was Axl/Slash getting back together.
