  1. I doubt Axl would ever wanna be in the same room as Joe Rogan
  2. 12 years later, it's finally on streaming!
  3. There is absolutely no commercial appeal for a Chinese Democracy re-release with bonus tracks in more than 15 years after it's original release. Even as an anniversary edition. It's not seen as a cherished/classic for a deluxe edition re-release. That would be a complete waste of money, energy and tracks that would be better marketed off as new material.
  4. New album announced after 2010 tour New song for RIR 2011 Major setlist change for 2011 tour Major setlist change for 2014 tour Remixes album with Blood in the Water, TIL Remix, Bumble OMG and DJ's Better Gone for around 2014/2015 Retirement after Vegas Residency and Up Close and Personal Tour Axl going missing after RnR Hall of Fame with Slash/Gilby/Duff/Steven/Myles Never reuniting
  5. I had not seen the video with the dude filming himself during the soundcheck for Perhaps. They seem to have changed the riff a bit, it really reminds me of Mary Jane's Last Dance by Tom Petty now. Wonder if the piano will be as present, when playing this riff.
  6. Love the KISS song. Man, that intro. Gotta go with that.
  7. I have an Online Marketing Agency which is basically me and partner creative professionals I subcontract depending on the particular job's needs. It's been a lot harder to get new retainer clients since I started living in Paris, though. Most things I do here are one off jobs - from social media content creation and management, to specific design jobs for businesses, influencers and brands in general.
  8. Judas Priest with Firepower and Rush with Clockwork Angels. The two best "we're back" records by veteran bands, IMO.
  9. Just watched Barbie. Loved it. It's a whole different kind of movie, also not for everybody, but I'd say I liked it as much as Oppenheimer! What a great movie weekend.
  10. I highly doubt it would happen but another Andrew Stockdale/Slash song would get me hyped AF.
  11. Saw Oppenheimer on Thursday, gonna see Barbie on Sunday. Highly recommend Oppenheimer. I haven't seen such a good movie in a long, long time.
  12. I think pretty much no one outside of these forums went to see them live to listen to these 2 singles but it goes like this: GnR release new singles > Their PR team send press releases everywhere > They get published and get some media highlight > People not only are reminded of GnR, but get informed about new tour dates, some people even find out they've reunited with Slash and Duff by these articles, etc... > People go to the concerts
  13. How do we know it's the players and not any othe reason (like the CD recording/releasing process, etc..) that made him lose interest? He doesn't seem interested in Slash/Duff either and those are the guys that composed alongside him for basically his whole career. I really don't think it's the players that "don't inspire him", it's more like he probably doesn't feel like doing anything new with GnR. I bet if he wanted, he could have at least one of those two guitarists back. Axl clearly has no interest in putting out new stuff, it's not like wishes he had more inspiring material to work on, IMO.
  14. Artists don't need an album to promote a tour if: - It's been a while since they toured that country/city/continent - Their popularity is really high (think of Beyonce, Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Metallica) - They have been part of some kind of media exposure (Master of Puppets on Stranger Things, Rihanna's pregnancy announcement, etc..) - It's a farewell, reunion or anniversary/legacy tour In the case of GnR, it's a reunion tour but it's been going on for such a long time, it's no longer novelty for the countries they have already visited (some twice). So in their case, yes, GnR is a huge name that wouldn't need a new album in the case of high media exposure, farewell or anniversary tours but if they plan on continuously touring for an undetermined amount of time, going through the same cities repeatedly, new music would suit them as it comes with interviews, reviews, articles, streaming highlights, etc... If they don't plan on stopping the touring for a while, it would be the right move, IMO.
  15. So many musicians have come and gone through GnR that, at this point it's hard to even list them. Which one is/was your least favourite? (Not counting members who left before AFD and touring-only + session musicians)
  16. It's because we were spoiled by 2010 infinite rasp Axl.
  17. The old members probably have a non-discloser agreement, right? But how long does that last? Forever? I mean... will Brain, Robin, Bucket, Bumble, Tommy and DJ never be able to write some sort of "my days with NuGnR" behind-the-scenes book? I'm sure some of them would be interested in selling some copies online and earning passive income from something like this.
  18. My favourite of the demos is, by far, Going Down. Especially the version without Axl's over-the-top backing vocals. I wish Tommy had played that during the tours instead of Sonic Reducer or whatever he played during Axl's break. Atlas and Perhaps could also be good songs if properly worked on. Perhaps really needs a better chorus dynamic. Too much going on vocal-wise. Gotta trade those fast vocal lines Axl shouts for a Slash guitar lick a la Estranged and keep only the "you're all alone now" line, between the guitar licks. State of Grace has a good instrumental but that verse vocal line sucks ass. Since it's highly unlikely Axl will ever record new vocals for these tracks, I'd give the verses to Duff and leave Axl for the choruses, which are fine. Quick Song needs a decent vocal line instead of the "ooh oohs". The instrumental is ok. Oklahoma is a good instrumental that would become a good track if given a good vocal line and solo. Devious Bastard has some potential, if worked on. Soul Monster kinda sounds too "2000s" for it's own good. Those garageband-esque strings on the pre-chorus are really cheesy. Zodiac sounds like it would have been a really awesome song played by the Axl/Bucket/Robin line-up. Man, it has Buckethead written all over it. Anyways, I am grateful the Chairman shared this with us. Thanks, man. Whoever and wherever you are.
  19. OMG kinda sounds like a project bounce to me, not a song that properly went through a mixing and mastering process.
