  1. It was just a story of Axl walking backstage with ISE playing from Spotify
  2. It's not rare for a portion of the public to arrive or just plain go inside the concert area after the opening band is done playing, though.
  3. I've been following these boards since 2010. 13 years with stuff like this regularly posted before each new tour. You'd think I would know better by now. But no. Here comes one more let down
  4. If the planets align and, by some incredible miracle, they do play Perhaps, I hope they did something about that chorus. The rest of the song is pretty cool but that chorus...
  5. I think it's: Bad Obsession Mr.Brownstone Pretty Tied Up CD Back in Black Slither WTTJ Street of Dreams Prostitute or Madagascar Locomotive (and some PS) Coma YCBM ??? ??? KOHD Rocket Queen November Rain Patience Hard Skool ??? ???
  6. Agree that pretty much anything is better than the same old set. I'd take a set with Anything Goes, Shotgun Blues, Breakdown, Bad Apples, Get in the Ring, Bad Obsession, Right Next Door To Hell, Garden of Eden, Don't Damn Me, Scraped and Rhiad over more KOHD, LALD, Slither, Sorry, Absurd, Patience, Whole Lotta Rosie, Don't Cry, Mr.Brownstone, Shadow of your Love, etc...
  7. Perfect finale. Amazing show. Loved it. We need more content like this.
  8. On an ordinary day Not in an ordinary way All at once the song I heard No longer would it play for anybody Or anyone That needed comfort from somebody Needed comfort from someone Who cared to be Not like you And unlike me
  9. Holy shit what a nice set, imagine going to that concert wow
  10. Yeah, Roger has lost his mind: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12127731/Pink-Floyds-Roger-Waters-investigated-German-police-dressing-Nazi-Berlin-concert.html I get he probably wanted to wear a Nazi costume as a way to antagonize it and not praise it but man… you combine that with the flying pig with the star of david, which, by itself is already unacceptable, and it does not look good at all. He’s gone insane, unfortunately. What a shame…
  11. Do they need to be in the same level as Stones and Zeppelin? I mean… who is?
  12. Saw them on Sunday! It was amazing
  13. Dude, with all due respect, you don't know 10% of the new bands out there. It's ok, neither do I. There are literally thousands of new bands releasing albums every year, and only a handful get some kind of media attention, label support and any kind of spotlight. But don't act like you've searched high and low for good music and haven't found it, because you haven't. And you won't find it by looking in the places people used to find them. It's just not how it works anymore.
  14. I really enjoy Loaded's Executioner's Song. Lords of Abaddon, Dead Skin, Flatline and Want To are pretty decent.
  15. Man, I don't get the love for this guy at all. I think it was 'cause he had a reality show or something because he's nothing to write home about. Dude's literally your average pop punk drummer and that's it. But then again, I'm not a fan of Blink182 at all, even though I've tried to get into them a couple of times, and listened to their music to try to get it.
  16. Same here. What a show. Simply amazing.
  17. Wow man, what I'd give to see THIS
  18. If by active rock band you mean mainstream stadium concert headlining rock band, then it's all about taste and I get it. But man, there are literally thousands and thousands of amazing rock bands out there, that put out great stuff constantly. You don't need to settle for "at least they release music". Rock music is alive and well, it's in perfect state. It's just not what sells nowadays and it doesn't get any spotlight. But it's out there for everyone with a bit of good will and patience to search and discover. If you don't like what's hyped right now, you need to discover new stuff, and not wait til it comes to you. Those days are over.
  19. I recommend Parc Asterix instead of Disneyland, if you've been to Disney World or Disney Land in the US. It's a better park if you're not with kids, IMO.
  20. Okay, yesterday I went to one of the best concerts of my life and I was reflecting on this on the train back to my city. If you had to rank the 5 best concerts you have ever gone to and the 5 worst concerts as well, what would they be? And why? Here's my list, for example: Best Concerts: 1- Black Sabbath (2016) - My favourite band, alongside Rush. Missed my chance to see Rush live but I'm thankful I got to see Tony, Ozzy and Geezer together before they retired from touring. Too bad Bill Ward wasn't with them. But it was magical. 2- Ghost (2023) - One of my favourite bands in activity. Never had the chance to see them live before. Had high expectations. They exceeded all of them. Amazing stage presence, perfect production, near perfect setlist (I was lucky enough to catch the live debut of one of my favourite tracks - Respite On The Spitalfields), would go again many times. 3- Iron Maiden (2013) - Maiden England tour. Filled with Seventh Son of a Seventh Son songs, Bruce in amazing shape.. it was magical. 4- Guns N' Roses (2010) - First time seeing GnR live, Axl was singing has ass off, there was still a mystery to the band, a hype about what their next move was gonna be. That was when I started reading this forum as a visitor, before joining, some time later. 5- KISS (2009) - Alive 35 tour. Near-perfect setlist. Unfortunately it rained and they had to skip Love Gun on the Encore. But fantastic energy all around. Worst Concerts: 1- Radiohead (2009) - I remember I was really into In Rainbows at the time and I was really hyped to see Radiohead live but man... what a disappointing experience. Their fanbase is the most annoying fanbase I've ever seen, the opening bands were really sucky, they came on a bit late and I thought their songs didn't translate that well into a live setting. It's more headphone music, IMO. 2- Guns N'Roses (2014) - After 2010, I was so hyped when GnR toured again that I bought tickets for 4 consecutive concerts in the same tour. And fuck - they all had the same damn setlist - which was basically the same one from 2010, but with mickey mouse Axl. That sucked ass. I paid the backstage experience package in one of them and only got to meet Tommy, Dizzy and Bumblefoot, being that I had already met Bumblefoot before, Tommy was wasted and Dizzy's Dizzy so... bummer. 3- Santana (2006) - I used to be really into Santana, and it was my second concert ever, after Lenny Kravitz, if I'm not mistaken. But man, it was like. Song 1 (long ass 10-minute jam) song 2 (long ass improv solo) song 3 (drum solo) song 4... no patience. Sorry. 4- Graveyard (2019) - Don't get me wrong, I love Graveyard, and went to see them again after this but man... they need to ease up on their drinking habits. What Axl lacks in rasp, Joakim overdoes it. And he friggin threw up on stage lol 5- KISS (2012) - Only three years after my first KISS concert, which was amazing and, man... what a let down. Paul was singing very badly, setlist was short... sound was off. Pretty meh concert. So.. what about you guys?
  21. Never been a fan of the FF. Wasting Light was an album I could listen to from start to finish and I caught them live during that tour. They played Tom Sawyer, War Pigs and Detroit Rock City. It was awesome. Since then, I think I enjoyed a few singles now and then: Sky is a Neighbourhood, Wheels, Congregation. That Medicine At Midnight album was unbearable, however. Listened to it once and never played a since track off of it again. And probably never will The Dream Widow album was good, though. Haven't taken the time to listen to their new singles but I got like zero hype for it, tbh.
