  1. Music video is way better than I expected it to be. Glad to see the band is getting better at this sorta stuff.
  2. Still remember when Baz first mentioned this song back in like 2007. Now we are getting it for real. Pretty surreal.
  3. Was wondering this too. I believe HardSkool/Absurd even had a cassette release. Hopefully The General is released on streaming services, at the very least.
  4. Anyone else find it weird that this single was released entirely thru Geffen even though GnR Records exists now?
  5. Sounds really good to my ears. Every time I hear this song it gets better. Might be a bit of recency bias, mind you, but there’s no denying that this is way better than the 2021 songs.
  6. I almost wonder if they’re releasing them in the order of what they feel is worst to best (im saying that as someone who likes absurd).
  7. As someone on GnREvo pointed out: The fact that they’re trying to trick everyone into actually thinking this is a newly-written song just goes to show how much the band and/or label wants to erase the ChiDem era from existence. Same reason why ChiDem wasn’t listed on the updated greatest hits, even tho AFD Locked N Loaded was.
  8. The sad part is that atlas is actually decent, but was hyped up cause someone long ago (can’t remember who) said that it was the next November Rain.
  9. Slash implied that Hard Skool is a bit older than all the other songs they worked on.
  10. I like them both for different reasons. The BBF version is a good GnR song. The locker version is a good Tommy song.
  11. Didn’t notice the new piano fills towards the end until now. Pretty cool. I assume that’s dizzy.
  12. Just found the village leak again. Yeah, I hear it now. Thank fuck they cut that from the final version.
  13. “Save me bit”? I haven’t heard the village leak in ages (and don’t have it anymore), so idk wtf that is.
  14. Final mix sounds very good. Very happy with it. Thank you GnR for doing something right for once. More like this please…
  15. Brain didn’t make it sound like Seven was two songs combined together when he described it… then again, he did say it was inspired by Julius Caesar, so I guess that fits with the whole “Circus Maximus” thing.
  16. Apparently The Pretenders said during their set that GnR has a “surprise” tonight…
  17. A lot of the vocals are different now: All the “hey heys” ”What a weight upon your shoulders” ”You pulled the gun that shot and crucified my savior” Theres also “deep” vocals during the chorus now (buried under the normal vocals) And he holds the last “you’re all alone” line for longer now, and there’s no laugh at the end anymore.
  18. Yeah the title track, TWAT, and Riad in particular all have cringe intros. I also prefer the intros from the demo versions of ITW and IRS (but can tolerate the final versions of those two, at least).
  19. I actually wouldn’t mind it if he trolled that hard…
