  1. So we now have five songs from cd2: Hard Skool (Jackie Chan/ Checkmate/ No Love Remains/ Hard School) Absurd (Silkworms) Perhaps The General Monsters (Leave Me Alone/ Elvis Presley & the Monster of Soul/ Soul Monster) Hopefully we also get Atlas, Seven and Berlin (Oklahoma) at some point.
  2. Yeah I think leave me alone/Elvis and the monster of soul/soul monster really became monsters and got grouped with the general, and me & my Elvis is a different (never to be finished) song. @Sweersais probably right though that monstrosity is something different.
  3. He still got pretty close, all things considered.
  4. So I guess Monsters really is Leave Me Alone/ Elvis Presley & the Monster of Soul/ Soul Monster after all (and possibly also Monstrosity), which means Me & My Elvis from the locker leaks must’ve been a different song that never got vocals added to it (sadly).
  5. Good they also confirmed that The General will still be the b-side. One of the rumors was that it had been removed. Hopefully Monsters is still part of it.
  6. The second episode fell pretty flat, yeah, but the fourth episode is very solid.
  7. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Loki season 2 is actually pretty damn good (tho I think that mostly has to do with the fact that they changed writers in between seasons).
  8. If it really is called The General & Monsters now then I can see it getting a surprise streaming release on Halloween maybe.
  9. I always assumed that the 7-inch version of NR was the radio edit that cut out the outro part, but I guess I was wrong. Maybe “The General and Monsters” really is two separate songs stitched together, and the whole thing will be pretty long (meaning it’ll sound like shit on a 7-inch, but oh well). As others have said here, Eye On You got combined with HardSkool, and apparently Fortus told a fan recently that Seven is really D-Tune combined with Circus Maximus or some shit, so Axl seems to enjoy combining isolated ideas into one thing.
  10. I don’t hate Libertad, but Scott’s lyrics are pretty weak on it.
  11. New stones album is pretty good. I think Mess It Up is my favorite song so far.
  12. I love FNM, and agree with others here that Angel Dust is arguably the best album of the 90s. Shame they’re having issues again now. Recent events seem to suggest that Patton is a bit of a diva, tbh. He canceled an entire FNM world tour, citing “mental health issues,” only to now be happily on the road with Mr. Bungle, with no effort to try to fix FNM, the band he screwed over, whatsoever.
  13. I have a new short story up on my blog if anyone is interested: http://henrynsilva.blogspot.com/2023/10/glass-of-sun-space-opera-short-story.html?m=1
  14. He’s gonna get so pissed lol. ”why are all these people asking me GnR questions?!”
  15. I mean, if we define intelligence in terms of business success, the #1 answer is probably Slash. He made a whole brand for himself outside of GnR. If we define it in terms of songwriting, it’s either Izzy (quantity) or Axl (quality). If we define it in terms of who’s the most well-spoken, it’s Duff. Don’t need to look any further than his writing prose to see that. And remember, he doesn’t use a ghostwriter. I feel bad for Steven.
  16. The whole “I haven’t heard it but I remember working on it” comment sounds kinda passive-aggressive. Probably best that you didn’t ask him any more questions after that.
  17. The daredevil reboot show has been canceled. They’re throwing away all the footage they shot for it and going back to the drawing board with new writers. Apparently the old iteration of the show was so badly-paced that daredevil himself didn’t put on his costume until episode 4.
  18. While I agree with you, to an extent, you gotta remember that when Force Awakens was made, “original trilogy purism” was still at an all-time high, and then the two other sequels had to try to make the most with what little TFA gave them to work with.
  19. I enjoyed the Ahsoka finale, for the most part. I think this might actually be my new favorite Star Wars live-action show (despite its flaws).
  20. Glad he’s back out there! Still sounds great!
