  1. I fall into the latter. I know there are shortcomings for both Axl and Brian Johnson due to age. Still, I know that there will be a time that GNR, Metallica, Bon Jovi, and AC/DC will not perform because of age, health, or not being with us any longer. You never know what can happen in their and your lives. I didn't think I would break my foot 3 days before the GNR show at MetLife. It happened. I was disappointed that it happened. Hopefully, I get to see GNR one more time before they retire or something happens to them.
  2. I had to laugh at your last part. MetLife Stadium is atrocious for exiting. When they built the new stadium, they didn't think to add more entrances and exits. What's worse is that the staff does not care. When exiting MetLife Stadium, staff does not direct traffic. They just stand there. It's basically every driver for themselves. It real is a Jungle.
  3. Looking at 2024, do you think there might be a fall tour for arena in the United States? I’m hoping that there is something since I missed the MetLife show due to a freak accident. One of the things that I am disappointed about after all this.
  4. I think one thing that could have helped make this Powertrip festival more special is having the bands do a collaboration of some sort.
  5. Lzzy Hale is awesome! She was really good on this. I did notice she struggled slightly with the very fast part of You Could Be Mine. That part is tough with the breathing. The guitar solo wasn’t the same though. Not as good as Slash.
  6. Unfortunately, Springsteen forgot his blue collar Jersey roots. I thought about seeing him but tickets are too expensive.
  7. I can’t believe that some of you think that Buckethead is the best GNR guitarist. Buckethead might be a great technical guitarist. However, he’s no Slash. Slash just fits with Axl. There’s no ifs and buts about it. We saw which incarnation of GNR is most successful and true to form. That incarnation has Slash in GNR. The AFD 5, Gilby Clarke, Matt Sorum, Dizzy, Fortus, Frank, and Melissa are the epitome of coolness and relatability. Buckethead isn’t that.
  8. I am sorry to hear about Buckethead’s health issues. However, he simply just didn’t fit into GNR. Slash is just cooler. He was, is and always will be part of the GNR image. Ditto with Axl and Duff. I would throw in Izzy and Adler as well if they were still a part of GNR. Having a guy wear a KFC bucket and a Michael Meyers mask just isn’t relatable. Nor someone who had looked like an alien.
  9. Whoever is sick dude. Not going to argue with you.
  10. You need to chill out! Life happens. 3 days before the GNR show at MetLife Stadium, I broke my foot in a freak accident. I was disappointed that I would miss the concert. Nothing I can do about it now except move forward. Same thing with Axl not being able to perform due to an illness. I’m sure that he and the rest of the band are disappointed but he has to get better and move forward.
  11. Actually I did the latter. A woman that I had deeply cared about liked Tori Amos. I’m not a fan of her. I took the woman to the concert and it was costly. I wouldn’t see Tori Amos again. Not my type of music.
  12. I couldn’t make it to the show. I broke my foot on August 12 in a freak accident. I’m disappointed that I couldn’t attend. Hopefully they’ll be back and I will be available for it.
  13. There's a lot of Double Talkin Jive on this board. More than half of the things that get said on here wouldn't be said in real time. I guess it's the times we live in since other social media platforms are the same way.
  14. Accidents do happen though. Every news organization has obituaries written up for celebrities. The company that I work for is very strict regarding data and news. One of the news reporters had written an obituary for Steve Jobs while he was alive. The reporter accidentally published it and it hit all the websites. Apple's stock went down. My company had to issue a retraction and apology for it. There are safeguards in place, but things can happen.
  15. Far from being upset about your opinion. I do think that you are complaining a bit too much. Some people can't go to concerts even though they would love to see their favorite performer. You and I are fortunate to do so. Additionally, GNR added songs to their set list since 2016 along with removing songs. It's not the same set list. I do agree with you on the opening act. I wish that Carrie, Dirty Honey or AIC would be the opening act. I get why Carrie isn't, though, due to marriage issues regarding her career. I'm not thrilled with the Pretenders.
  16. For me, I can't do pit since that require a lot of standing. I need to have a seat. I was just responding to the guy since he was complaining a bit too much.
  17. As someone who works for a financial news company, reporters are discouraged from using "internal sources" in the articles. It reduces credibility. I'm not sure where the Italian news article got their "internal sources". I think @Blackstar might be correct that it might be Universal Italy. Sometimes when you work for a global company (like I do), you don't always get the right information. I'm not giving this credibility until Friday. If it doesn't get released on Friday, I would be very surprised if GNR does not debut Perhaps at Metlife Stadium. NJ/NYC is the second biggest market in the country.
  18. What are you freaking expecting??? Metallica had two nights at Metlife Stadium charging $9,000 for pit each night. There were plenty of people in the pit at both shows. No matter which band you see in the pit, it'll always be expensive. For both Metallica and GNR, I paid $180 including fees. For GNR, I'm sitting in the lower level at Metlife Stadium . For Metallica, I sat in the mezzanine section further back at Metlife Stadium. Additionally, I have a college friend who has Metallica as his favorite band. He got tickets for $100 both nights. He sat in the upper deck in the back. Don't complain when you are selecting the most expensive seat to begin with.
  19. I'm a fan of Chris Stapleton. He has a very soulful voice.
  20. I agree. I'm not thrilled with the Pretenders for next week. I wish it was Carrie, Dirty Honey or Alice In Chains.
  21. Yeah, it is. I wish they thought about building more entrances and exits when they built the new stadium. It was great time before that though! I'm going back tomorrow. Looking forward to it! I was surprised that they closed the show yesterday with Master of Puppets. I thought they would have played it on Sunday. I'm glad I got tickets for both shows as a result.
  22. I know that you have been mentioning pyro in this thread. It seems like pyro isn't used as much as it was before. I have seen Metallica 4 times prior to last night. They have always used a lot of pyro including in 2017. Last night, they only used it for Fuel. They kept it mostly at a minimum Maybe tomorrow night, it'll be different, but last night they didn't used much pyro.
  23. Ah ok. My childhood friend, his son, my brother, and I went to the Metallica concert last night. We drove early, which wasn't a problem. Leaving the stadium, though, was a nightmare. It was worse than it usually is. We saw attendants just standing around and not directing any traffic whatsoever.
  24. Are you coming from NYC? If you live in NJ, getting to MetLife isn't that bad. Exiting MetLife, though, is what I find to be a big pain in the ass due to driving.
  25. Interesting! I don't know how both news websites got 40,000+. There has to be a reason as to why it was stated. Nevertheless, you have to keep in mind that Covid was still around and the GNR concert was the first event at MetLife Stadium after reopening.
