  1. Yea, I have that 7” as well. The song is decent enough to have been an album track. you all are making me want to make a list of all my Guns vinyl!
  2. I was absolutely blown away by the variety of songs and how almost every one of them was anywhere from good to instant classics. My only complaint then and now is the overdubs by Axl were too much. Especially on Breakdown and the lion roaring in Garden of Eden. Of course, hearing My World for the first time was…an experience?
  3. I completely agree with your last statement. Patience and You Could Be Mine are prime examples of Izzy songs that were elevated to all time classics with the input of the rest of the band. I think the lack of sales for Izzy after the first album has to do with a couple of factors; Izzy’s voice is not Axl’s and Rick Richards is good but not Slash level with his solos & Izzy barely promoted anything after Ju Ju Hounds. Both River and Ride On are full of songs that could have made for amazing Guns songs had they been developed by Axl, Slash and Duff.
  4. Where did that Legend Of The Red Panda rumor come from? Also, Stay Of Execution was a rumored title I think due to a trademark filing that @Blackstar detailed at one point.
  5. I can let you know on Thursday when mine is expected to be delivered unless anyone else has an update
  6. All good! The lyrics in Japanese special releases of English speaking bands is a continuing thing, not just from 1988. They’re typically produced without much input from the artists.
  7. Definitely make sure you have the European release of Chinese. The sound makes the US version feel almost criminal.
  8. That’s actually common for Japanese releases. Live From The Jungle EP was the exact same so I’m not sure why people feel the need to bitch about it but I guess it’s Guns were talking about so that’s par for the course. No offense to you @Coma16!
  9. Exactly this, plus I’d add a live album and video from say 2016 with some added live spots of the new singles and covers as well as the official Perhaps video. And after hearing Monsters, I have a tiny bit of hope that maybe seven or another unheard CD leftover could be just as good! And I’d love to be surprised and hear that Oklahoma / Berlin has vocals.
  10. Atlas, State of Grace and whatever else had finished vocals (Berlin/Oklahoma, Seven?) could make for a decent album that they could theoretically have already put out with Slash and Duff added in. I also wouldn’t mind hearing the pre NITL versions if they leak. Some of CD was really good, if not exactly GnR to me. CD, CITR and The Blues from the Village Leaks are pretty cool, and I like Shackler’s, Madagascar, TWAT and Prostitute from the official release.
  11. The lyrics from Apple Music are on page 192 or so in this thread or just Google the Apple lyrics. I think they’re as official as we’re getting any time soon.
  12. I find it sad that the same couple of posters feel the need to moderate peoples opinions here, all day every day. And calling anyone that misses the magic that was Guns N Roses a mullet head is just childish. In my opinion, The General feels like an unfinished idea of a potentially great song. The laziness of repeating the same verses is excused by some as an artistic choice but I see it as another reason why this song wasn’t on CD. It’s just not that good. Thankfully we also got the far superior Monsters, I absolutely love that song!
  13. IMO, The General is an ok song that feels like it was never finished lyrically. To be fair, the fact it was leaked along with a far superior song probably doesn’t help my view of it. I just don’t get how Axl couldn’t come up with a second verse rather than repeating himself. This seems to be a running theme of many the songs left off CD that we’ve now heard between the new singles and the Village Leaks. The outro is pretty damn good though. It makes me hopeful that if they ever do work on a new album like Slash has suggested, there is still the potential for some magic.
  14. 60 or so songs recorded, 14 of which have been released so far. And another album probably coming next year like you said so probably 25 or so songs released. Add in all the session work he’s been doing and you have to admire Duff’s work ethic. If only it would rub off on Axl
  15. Yes, I meant I doubt the vinyl would come with a lyric sheet. Thanks for sharing this! You always have great examples and or facts at the ready 👍🏻
  16. Although it would be nice, I highly doubt it. Japanese releases typically have the lyrics in both English and Japanese.
