  1. The two shows I saw had pretty different sets so that was nice but when tickets are a few hundred bucks how many people are seeing multiple shows? And with such a deep history of mega hits to skip so many definitely left the casuals confused. When the lights came up each time (well before the 11 pm curfews) everyone was left really confused.
  2. Black Summer is fine, but I wouldn't put it in their top 30 songs. I did think it was a highlight of their live show though. Aquatic mouth dance was a highlight too. I can't even remember anything else off those albums truthfully. It's been probably 6 months since I listened to either and I just found them very forgettable. I don't expect bands to be at the top of their game and their most creative when they are in their 50s and 60s but that doesn't mean that they can't put out something decent. The new Queens of the Stone Age for example is fantastic, and Josh is turning 50 soon (or already did). Ozzy's last album was great, so was Maiden's. I just don't think the RHCP had enough good material for two albums last year. I'm glad you enjoy it though! RHCP was the first concert I ever went to (with the foo fighters as the opener!) over 20 years ago so they always will hold a special place in my heart
  3. The RHCP really haven't done anything worth listening to since Stadium Arcadium and even that album is pretty bloated. The new albums were so genetic. Even if you picked the best songs from each album I think you'd still only have a mid album lol I also saw them live twice last year and both shows were a bit underwhelming too. Both times the band only played 90 minutes (maybe a little more) and left out major hits like Scar Tissue, Under the Bridge and Otherside. They did play some deep cuts which I appreciated and I had fun at both shows but for the RHCP to move into a stadium act and charge hundreds of dollars for their tickets I left both shows expecting a little more I guess.
  4. The people who think that GnR is going to become mainstream again are the same people who complain about the setlist not getting changed every single night not understanding that the setlist isn't stale to 99% of the people who are at the show.
  5. I don't know if it's the same way everywhere but at the shows I've been to in the states they had a truck set up outside the show that opened before the venue!
  6. Poor Axl lol At least you know he's not lip syncing
  7. Hopefully they hit the Philly area. Would love to see them again. As for GnR I don't know what you expect, Axl really isn't interested in doing albums anymore. I'm sure Slash and most of everyone in the band would love to but after the Chinese Democracy experience I doubt Axl would ever want to go thru that again. Hopefully I'm wrong! I think you just have to take it for what it is though. At least there is some material we know of that will eventually come out.
  8. Yeah they can definitely run out of certain sizes. I would buy before the show 100%
  9. I never cared for disturbed but he is absolutely right. David draiman could never hit those notes lol
  10. This dude absolutely had his mind made up before hand. Probably has a lot of the article pre-written too
  11. Love how your first sentence is "imagine how huge this band could be" and you follow it up by pointing out that they just headlined one of the biggest festivals in the world. Good lord the irony
  12. Avenged Sevenfold returned to touring recently and they were a band who used to have big pyro shows and they completely dropped it too. Giant ass video boards are way cheaper than they used to be, a lot safer and can do way more. Pyro is not nearly as relevant as it was even 5 years ago. Man this is an odd post
  13. It's hard to choose because so many songs were played great. Maybe it's because I haven't listened to it in ages but Knocking on Heaven's Door was great. The Harmony between Axl and Melissa really sounded good, it was a little toned back and the crowd participation was fantastic.
  14. 30 years ago GnR was a much hotter name in the industry. This guy reeks of only caring about what is cool and "in". But I guess in 93 he might have moved into grunge and seen GnR as a product of the 80s
  15. No matter what GnR did this guy wasn't going to approve. The funny thing is if this was 30 years ago he would probably be slobbering all over their dicks
  16. I got a shirt at Hershey 2021 and it was the smallest XL I ever had in my life. I got the tour shirt too and it fit perfectly. Gave my girl the specific Hershey shirt and ordered a replacement from the tour truck. I like the photo better on the front and tbh lol But yeah I like how they swap the image. Gives more importance to getting one at the gig imo.
  17. Not really. Mostly everyone has been pretty positive about the performance. Listening to it now and Axl was very good. And the band was tight as ever. Really great show, great setlist. Just overall great.
  18. Listening to the show now and the band sounds fantastic, Axl included. The reviews seem great too. Not sure how the rights and everything work but this seems like a great show to release on a blu ray. Outside of like one review it seems like mostly everything was mostly positive. Proud of the band for stepping onto one of the biggest stages and showing why they are one of the biggest rock bands going. Nice to hear the band live in good quality instead of someone's shitty cell phone recording too. Fuck all the haters.
  19. SOAD quick did those songs for charity purposes and Serj has stated that he doesn't really have interest in touring anymore because of a back issue. It sure was great to get some new SOAD but those were basically scars on broadway songs they they threw together really quickly to raise money for a good cause.
  20. Damn some great bands there. Love spiritbox CUT DOWN THE ALTER
