I know exactly what it takes to move a show! I just asked a union guy on site what’s up but with my past events experience they won’t make any decision until (like you said) they get a lightening report tomorrow. It takes me about 80mins to get to MetLife so I won’t make the decision to go until 5:30ish, unless something is announced. This weekend was STUPID unpredictable weather.. full 72hrs..

I was just about to say… I feel like shows are rain or shine, but we’ll see. MetLife in the rain.. I’ve been through some nightmares there in those conditions. Nightmare without rain to begin with..

Lol damn it - I guess my ass is gonna hack it to MetLife afterall. It’s supposed to RAIN tomorrow too and sales are LOW and they papered the show so who knows how many people are actually gonna make it… ugggggghhhhh why can’t this be a semi normal band 🤦🏻‍♀️

And @GoodOlJohnnyK I sent my hubs a link to an article talking about the accidental leak of a “new” gnr song so of course he went and found it just now and listened to it.. and.. he says: “please tell me you aren’t giving the internet any opinions on this shit and PLEASE tell me you’re aren’t making me drive your ass to MetLife again to hear Mickey Mouse sing this…… wait… are the tix free? I was going to say.. some of those MetLife tickets up from are down to a “reasonable” $169+fees and the cheapest ticket to get in is $36 (if you go this route btw just go to guest services after 1 song and complain about drunk fans, they’ll move you to a much better spot) but I listened to some of the videos from last night after reading a bit of this thread and.. like he sound a exactly the same. It’s not the worst he’s ever sounded.. but.. You’ll have a great time if you go, but.. there’s a lot of reality missing in some of these posts 🤣

My hubby’s tix from the Illusions Tour ALL say “show time around 9pm” like every city he went to 🤣

I asked this a few months back but anyone know if he’s been linked to any vocal coach since his passed away? Ron Anderson was a big deal and he worked with Axl since the 90s I believe. Obv none of us know for sure, but I can’t imagine with proper vocal training that any human (esp a professional singer) couldn’t be one stronger and more in control.

I’m waiting to find out if I have a Metallica ticket for tonight (my back up tonight is Phish, and only because it’s MSG which is 30min away from me on the subway!!) I’ve said it before on this board and I’ll say it forever - MetLife is the absolute WORST venue to get in/out of. I only even bother going on a free ticket and never stay the full show because getting out is insane. But yea, Metallica playing 2 no repeat nights is well worth it.. gnr playing the same set list plus BO and PTU? Hard, hard, “maybe as long as the weather is good and there are no transport delays” - at least in my world! edited to add: whomever is talking about promoters muddling the numbers to pollstar is right in point. Stadium shows especially. Basically you can “open” seats that are closer to the stage after load in and then “kill” the ones that didn’t sell. So that drives the “percentage” up bigtime in the overall numbers. All of the gnr MetLife shows have been about 50% truly sold. Except that first Sat of the first year.. that was like 80% but then the Sunday show was like 25% so it averaged. Pollstar numbers TO THE PUBLIC are what the band/live nation wants us to see.

I mean.. if you’re enjoying sex with that particular person than sure go ahead.. and finish. But it hurts my soul to see Axl struggle with my fave gnr songs which are all back of set, so I’d rather not hear that. I’ll stay for the.. happy ending.. if show is going amazing though. Just haven’t had that happen with gnr since the Vegas shows in 2016. Or if I paid FULL PRICE for a ticket. but for each their own! Hope everyone has a great weekend✌🏼

And @Stay.Of.Execution id go to literally hear the stuff I haven’t heard, I’m a person that sees 100+ shows a year, and I never stay until encores unless it’s an easy commute home. so for me to go and see a show for an hour/hour+30 or so is pretty standard. I don’t NEED to stay for any band, especially ones that I’ve seen multiple times (and as we’ve discussed endlessly it’s the same show) I also don’t/won’t pay, so taking a fun car ride or train ride with friends, seeing something interesting for a bit and going home, is a fantastic experience. why are y’all so offended by that 🤣

I live 90min a from MetLife and have seen this show 10x - the only different thing that happens is in the first 6 songs. Why the hell would I stay?

Their current pickle from a quick scan of upcoming shows is that they’ve sold *just over arena capacities in some places but not NEARLY enough to justify a stadium. So they can’t move any of these shows otherwise many would be *sold out*. It’s fucking AWESOME that so many years into a stale reunion they can sell our arenas so I have no clue why they’d want to play to half/mostly empty stadiums. I highly doubt any of them are aware of sales though but I have no doubt everyone around them is. Wonder if it’ll be an ego-check for anyone when they DO see all the undeniable empty seats all over the USA and Canada. The smaller venues (arenas and large theatres) are all sold out. I’m 100% not paying for this tour though - our fam made that decision a few weeks back. If I get gifted a ticket I may go for like the first hour and split. Would love to hear BO and PTU as they are some of my gnr faves but I just refuse to spend this kind of money. Theres nothing wrong with being an Arena Band boys - you’ll sound better too.

I can’t remember which show but I totally forgot that happened. At least they are over 18 but seriously.. on a non related note, I think Axl looks great this tour. I hadn’t been following after the 1st week as much but did a little snooping.. he looks GREAT.

Ahhh - well - like 90% of Page Six “gossip” turns out to be COLD HARD FACTS. And NY Mag is plenty a “real” journalistic property. (source: 20+ years in nyc entertainment gigs.. lots of publicist friends.. etc) Andrei has a a PREDATOR and young models starting out are basically warned to steer clear. If f I recall correctly, at a few Threeunion shows (at lest 3 or 4) I’ve had to turn back to some overexcited pleeb and gently correct them that in fact it ISNT Izzy on stage 😬 Always quite (awkwardly) hysterical to the rest of us!

Better than the last few runs - I love the fact that Bad Obsession and PTU are on the set list. however I’m still not sold on purchasing a ticket for the NA Leg. I’ve seen them live every time they’ve played NY/NJ and… I’m sorry… show is fun.. but sound wise it just isn’t for me. It’s literally a worse sounding show, of the SAME show they’ve had since the start of this. Except the 2 deep cuts. Having said that, I’m beyond stoked that others are enjoying themselves. If you are having fun at a show, you are winning in life!
