Jeez
Im sure it would have been awesome to go the any of the GN'R gigs in the early 90s, but I'm under the impression the "new GN'R" plays songs such as Estranged just as good, or better, than the old band. But as for the good old rock n roll songs from appetite there is nothing that can compare to the original lineup, hence why I would've loved to be at the Ritz in 88.If it included shows I've seen, Ritz 2012 would still be my choice. That show was just amazing...better than any Maiden show I've even been to. If I had to pick a show I haven't seen, it'd be one of these:So if we pretend you haven't been to any GN'R concert, and you could go to only one between 85-2012 you would pick a 2012 show? Mastodonny
I saw them in 88 just before they exploded, the show was pretty close to Lafayette and was every bit as good as the ritz. Saw them in 91 with Metallica. And I saw the 01/01/01 show at hob. I don't need a time machine, I was there.

Guns at their absolute highest heights IMHO on their own "home turf". T2/YCBM was still a HUGE craze. UYI release was FINALLY visible. Grunge hadn't really hit yet. Unquestioned kings of rock. Phenomenal set-list, etc. must have been awesome...

Guest Satanisk_Slakt
Have any of you people that are saying Ritz 88 ever seen any of their other concerts from the 80's? Most of them were better. Go watch Felt Forum for example. It might not be as good audio and video quality, but the band is far better.Part I: Part II: Edited September 17, 2012 by Satanisk_Slakt

classicrawker
I would love to go back in time to relive the 1987 L'Amour and Ritz NYC shows I attended but I would most likely pick one of the 1987 Marquee shows or Perkins Palace shows although being at the first Guns L.A. show with Slash and Steven would have been killer........ EvH
I'd choose a gig at the Marquee, in 1987. Kicked ass back then !

AxlRose14
If you could go back in time to see/experience only one Guns N' Roses concert between 1985-2012 - you can choose any concert you want - which one would you choose and why?I think I would've chosen Ritz in 1988. Because it's the original lineup without the big arena production, no piano, a really good setlist (appetite) and the concert was taped so I can look at it for years to come and say I was there 1991 in St. Louis
