When is this fucking show going on sale?

Hey anyone seeing Duff at the Espy?

What's the Espy? Might be cool to check it out if I can get a ticket down there. And second - yeah it'd be nice if this fucking show did go on sale sometime in the next month. Need to start getting rooms booked and work time off etc etc.

I'll be trying my best to get down front too, hope those ZZ fans aren't as feral as Korn fans :P

Oh fuck yeah. Those Korn 'fans' were fucking horrible - total motherfucking bogans. I'm sure ZZ fans are slightly more mature and not a bunch of cock-sucking monkeys.

Unfortunately it is the Grand Prix weekend & already lots of the hotels are booked out. You'll either have to get an expensive room & share or travel out of the city to get a cheaper hotel - I wonder if even the band will get hotels at this stage unless they've pre-booked them. If they have already booked them why haven't they confirmed the concerts? Now they have to find someone to fill in for the Angels for a tour which starts in less than 2 months

Whenever they go on sale though I'm sure it will be a rush to get tickets. It's just strange it was announced the way it was without management making the call and just a poster going up on someone's fb page. I guess we'll know soon enough.

I think it's too late now, they could have released tickets just before Xmas and had people buy tickets as gifts. There's just too many other concerts going on now for this one to be anywhere close to sold out.

Don't know if I agree, didn't they announce a concert & tickets went on sale the day it was announced? Still sold out, although it might have been Indonesia where they haven't been before & they might not have a huge lot of concerts playing over there.

It will be so disappointing if this is postponed. The twitter accounts are still saying they look forward to Aus in March so seems like the band are planning to come.

1. What was wrong with Korn fans?

2. Espy - The Esplanade Hotel in St Kilda. They shoot Rockwiz on SBS there.

I hope the tickets go on sale in the next week or so otherwise it's going to be disappointing for the fans and the band.

They need to sell 25,000 tickets. Soundgarden did it , so if GNR can't that's gonna be bad.

This is crazy, ticketek haven't received any details yet but the tour is supposed to start in 52 days!!! You would think they'd at least have some details or the official gnr site would have the dates on their site but nothing. Is this because there is only one concert per city, usually when a concert sells out another is announced but gnr don't seem to operate that way?

Guns N' Roses Australian tour announcement from promoter

McManus Entertainment is thrilled to announce the return to Australia of one of the world's greatest rock bands, Guns N' Roses in March 2013. Joining Guns N' Roses will be special guests ZZ Top and Aussie rockers Rose Tattoo.

Promoter Andrew McManus says, "I can't wait for these shows next March. Axl Rose is a legend and I can't wait to see Guns N' Roses play to their legion of Aussie fans again. I'm so proud to be bringing them back to Australia and am looking forward to a great tour with fellow rockers ZZ Top and Rose Tattoo."

Hard rockers Guns N' Roses were last in Australia in 2010. Guns N' Roses are Axl Rose, DJ Ashba (guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboards), Tommy Stinson (bass), Richard Fortus (guitar), Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal (guitar), Chris Pitman (keyboards) and Frank Ferrrer (drums).

Since bursting out of the LA rock scene in the mid '80s, Guns N' Roses went on to become one of the world's most legendary rock bands and one of the biggest in music history. Guns N' Roses continue to tour the globe and have played to millions of fans worldwide. In April 2012, Guns N' Roses were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and have sold more than 100 million records worldwide since forming in 1985.

Guns N' Roses' special guests on their Australian tour are the legendary Texan trio, ZZ Top. ZZ Top's image has been as unchanging and memorable as their music. ZZ Top have been together for more than 40 years and were inducted by Keith Richards into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. The band's iconography - beards, cars, girls and that magic keychain - transcend all bounds of geography and language. They've been referenced in countless cartoons and sitcoms and are true rock icons. Billy F Gibbons is one of America's finest blues guitarists while Dusty Hill on bass and Frank Beard on drums (ironically the only member without a beard) provide the ultimate rhythm section support.

Rose Tattoo join Guns N' Roses and ZZ Top on the Tour. The lineup features lead vocalist Angry Anderson, Dai Pritchard, Paul DeMarco, Geordie Leach and Randall Waller. Rose Tattoo is touted as the best bar-room-blues based rock band in the world and one of the most revered bands of all time. Inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2006, their hits include Bad Boy for Love, Rock 'n' Roll Outlaw, Nice Boys, We Can't Be Beaten and Scarred for Life.

Aussie rock fans can expect a hard-rocking performance from a hard-rocking lineup!

Tickets go on sale through various outlets on Friday 25 January at 9am.

Tour dates:

March 9th, 2013 Perth, WA, Australia @ Perth Arena

March 12th, 2013 Sydney, NSW, Australia @ Allphones Arena

March 13th, 2013 Newcastle, NSW, Australia @ Hunter Stadium

So what they are saying is you can secure a ticket to the show but it doesn't guarantee that you'll get seating at the front? Also this pre-sale is Perth, Sydney & Brisbane so does that mean Melbourne tickets won't be selling on Monday? Newcastle isn't mentioned either - I wonder if this is because they are outdoors. I'm confused.

I did wonder if they might go with Rose Tattoo seeing as Axl likes them. That will be great as I just watched a special on Angry Anderson a few days ago, he's such a great guy.

Anyone got tips on how to get tickets for Melbourne in the Myer Music Bowl?. I've been to a dozen concerts there but only ever got tickets on the hill (which sucks - you can't see anything).

What are those areas at the top on the left and right of the stage, are they part of normal seating or would they be for the elite people? Unfair that there's only 2,150 seats in the bowl for a concert that holds 23,000 - most won't be able to see anything & I don't even know if they have screens.

It's all the seating section. As I said...I've seen Tool, Soundgarden, Metallica and heaps of other artists there and never got a seat despite numerous presales and logging in at the start of the onsale time. Most artists have screens up and I reckon G n' R would given the stage set-ups I've seen.

Ha! You beat me to this. I was about to post this too.

Anyway, that also means they haven't done with touring around the world yet! So getting a new album this year is........unlikely?
