Wow. Sorry on The Division Bell is a GREAT call!

Damn you guys beat me to it!

The first time I ever heard that tune I immediately thought Pink Floyd

Sorry is Poles Apart. With some AIC thrown in.

ITW is a blaxploitation remake of Evidence by Faith No More.

If The World suits Angel Dust very well. Great album.

or King for a Day.

Its like Crack Hitler meets Evidence.

SoD is like Soul Asylum meets Everythings Ruined.

Madagascar could have been on Physical Graphiti, its Kasmir.

ITW also like All of my Love.

TIL sounds like Toi much will Kill You.

TWAT could have been on Let it Bleed.

Catcher would have been spooky if it was on doubke fantasy.

Most of those are good fits. Madagascar could go on a Zep album too. I can see Sorry on the AIC album. I'm digging IRS on GRODT!

Please don't compare Everything's Ruined to Street Of Dreams. It's like comparing The Dark Side Of The Moon with the Jonas Brothers.

I like Street Of Dreams, a lot. But Everything's Ruined is simply a masterpiece.

do you think ITW and IRS have a hip hop song structure. Axl's vocals are like rapping.

listen to the metallic production though, I think it's that Andy Wallace mixed both songs. I get mixed up with Matt Wallace and Andy Wallace. I think Andy Wallace mixed CD and Faith No More stuff. It's weird Tommy had a hand in SOD and Stand Up and Be Strong by Soul Asylum is very much like SOD.

Look at what Andy Wallace worked on before CD. It makes sense how CD sounds the way it does.

He mixed King For A Day, Fool For A Life. That album has one of the finest mixing I've ever heard... Evidence, King For A Day, Ricochet... My ears cry out of happiness when I hear those songs on a good headphone. Great job making them sound the way they do.

You two are both people who's musical opinions I seem to agree with a lot. And I respect the both of you for that. But you simply couldn't be more wrong on this one. Sorry is a bit vindictive (despite it's best effort not to be) and there's a lot of anger and grudge in the song. The Division Bell just doesn't have that vibe at all imo.

I was thinking it would fit right before Lost For Words.

Dave is pretty vicious on Division Bell. What Do You Want From Me and Poles Apart are more verbose versions of Sorry (and slightly more mature, and generally better written), just read the lyrics. So is Coming Back To Life to a lesser extent. And if you take away the heavy instrumentation from the chorus and the entire ending you might as well have a Division Bell cover.

Lost For Words is Madagascar. It's about moving on. Dave did that eventually. Axl's behind on schedule.

Both of those. Parts of Better too. Axl always had little hip in his hop
