novemberparadise23
Anybody in particular that you guys wanna see as the detectives next year? Any dream combinations. I read something about possibly brad Pitt getting involved because could be similar to his role in Seven

Guest NGOG
Philip Seymour Hoffman would have been absolutely fantastic in this type of writing.

Ace Nova
Edward Norton and Mark Ruffalo. The opening scene should involve the monologue," Me true detective"....."No!....Me true detective!"...."You make me angry!"...."You won't like me when I'm angry!"..... wasted
Still wondering who called the Southern fried chicken gas station killer. Maybe this will be solved in Season 2. Brad Pitt called from the set of The Mexican. I finsihed Galveston. can definitely see where TD came from. simple story, lots of digression you think is one thing but always leads back home because the bad guy has some Dexter type morals. Pretty similar so reckon Season 2 could actually be a remake too.

magisme
I thought the first half of the season was much better than the second half.
Ace Nova
I thought the first half of the season was much better than the second half.Really?I thought the first two episodes were somewhat slow....I felt the show took off after episode 3. Do you think the reason you enjoyed the first part of the season more so than the second has to do with the fact that you may have subconsciously been forming different theories, etc. during the first half?...and that the second half was almost "laid out" for you?
wasted
Ep 7 was like an ep of The Sopranos and ep 8 was like Wire wrap up type thing. It did flow pretty well up til they got Ledoux. Then it went haywire, which was fun. I think episode 5 was my favorite.

I thought the first half of the season was original and intellectually stimulating. I thought the second half was pretty much your standard cop show. Well done, but standard. It did flow pretty well up til they got Ledoux. After Ledoux is when they began to lose me. After Marty shot him it seemed like the show became much more interested in Marty's anger issues, which I didn't find compelling at all.
