DieselDaisy
2 hours ago, Len Cnut said: I downloaded it online, its three CDs worth of live at Fillmore, have i got the wrong thing then? From the Fillmore shows there was the original Band of Gypsys album released during Jimi's life time. Then there was an official two-disc Live at the Fillmore East (1999) which contained more material from those shows, and just recently the whole of the December 31st (first set) performance was released officially as Machine Gun: The Fillmore East First Show (2016). (There was also the 1986 release Band of Gypsys 2, which was an inferior release but did provide a bit more of the Fillmore material). Box of Gypsys is basically this mammoth six disc bootleg boxset which recreates the complete performances by using the above official releases - all except the new one - and filling in the blanks with audience recordings; it also includes the notorious Madison Square Garden show, so it basically contains the complete live record of the Band of Gypsys. It can be downloaded here, http://www.guitars101.com/forums/f90/jimi-hendrix-box-of-gypsys-volume-1-revised-3cd-202876.html http://www.guitars101.com/forums/f90/jimi-hendrix-box-of-gypsys-volume-2-revised-3cd-211062.html Flac (the links might be out of date), http://www.guitars101.com/forums/f145/jimi-hendrix-box-of-gypsys-sbd-aud-flac-147527.html It is on torrents also, https://torrentproject.se/?t=box+of+gypsys The recent Machine Gun however renders the first disc a bit obsolete.
