What stores do you go to?

For groceries I go to Stop and Shop, sometimes Shop Rite if they have a good sale. For convenience/health I go to either CVS or Walgreens. I go to Target to buy my clothes. Otherwise I do a lot of online shopping on Amazon.com.

I haven't set foot in Walmart in years. The closest one by me sucks.

Favorite general stores are Kohls & Costco, their return policies are awesome. Favorite grocery is Shoprite for the great prices and good selection.

I love Shoprite but they are too far away for me to get groceries. Stop and Shop is like 5 minutes away from me instead of taking 20 minutes to get to Shoprite.

Cosco is great, but I've been curious about BJ's. They opened down the street from Cosco and are competitive with their gas stations. BJ's has liquor but Cosco has pharmacy.

Never been to a Costco that didn't have a liquor store ... not that i'd ever buy booze in CT. :lol:

I think this Cosco sells liquor too. But BJ's has a better location. They may have a better selection too.

CT is weird about their alcohol laws. It wasn't until a couple years ago we started selling booze on Sundays but only before 5PM. The rest of the week is by 9PM. So people go to NY to get liquor because they have them until 11. People come from NY to CT to buy cigarettes because they are a lot cheaper.

I tend to buy 90% of my stuff from my town' market, because it's so cheap. But when I do have to go to a bricks and mortar store:

Groceries: Morrisons. For sewing materials: Abakhan in Manchester. Underwear: Marks & Spencer.

Random bits and pieces which I can't get elsewhere come from Amazon.

I don't really do much non-necessary shopping these days. I don't have the time, and prefer to save the money.

When I bought my own clothes, they would come from New Look. I do like Marks & Sparks too, but rarely buy anything other than lingerie from there these days.

I pretty much do all of my grocery shopping at M&S these days but will pop out to Chorlton or Didsbury to some of the little specialist stores to pick up things like fruit, veg, meat cheeses etc if I have the time.

I like to spend Dazey's tax money locally.

Fixed. :lol::P Edited by Dazey

Groceries: Asda or Tesco. M&S if I fancy a treat or for that '2 dine in for £10' deal :P

Clothes: for basics I usually shop at H&M or Forever 21. River Island are my favourite for jeans and accessories. I like Missguided and Boohoo for online clothes shopping. AllSaints make some of my favourite clothes but it's rare I actually have the money to shop there, most items I own were birthday/Christmas presents from my parents.

I forgot to mention Holland & Barrett

Mainly this branch pictured here; have been known to pop in to many branches of this;

For snacks and supplements.

Love their sale on supplements; buy 1, get a 2nd for only a penny.

I went to Marks & Spencer once, charged me for a plastic bag, reminded me of Lidl in that respect.

For groceries, I typically split it up between several stores, depending on what I need and where I'm at. Aldi's usually gets close to 50% of my business and the other 50% is split up between a produce market, Winn Dixie, and Publix.

For clothes, my top choice is Ross...then I may hit up some other factory outlets from time to time.

As for everything else...probably split between Walmart and Target. Although I have some issues with the way Walmart does business, location wise I literally have 3 of them closer to me than the closest Target.

Come to think of it, over the past year I've made more purchases online (other than food) than I have from Walmart or Target. Sites like Amazon and Ebay get a ton of my business as well.
