Angelica
Adventures in BabysittingI love you for including this, it seems to have gotten lost in the glut of better known 80s teen movies, but it's so much fun.The good/great:ZeligPurple Rose of CairoCrimes and Misdemeanors Hannah and Her SistersRadio DaysBody HeatSex, Lies and VideotapeBroadcast NewsThe FlyShe's Gotta Have ItDo the Right ThingSchool DazeBlow OutBull DurhamDrugstore CowboyMiami BluesDangerous Liaisons Say Anything...Something Wild Less than ZeroRunaway TrainRisky BusinessRaising ArizonaBlood SimpleL'ArgentThe King of ComedyAirplane!RedsDas BootBetty BlueTootsieThe Long Good FridayThe StepfatherTop SecretAfter HoursLove StreamsDesperately Seeking SusanPolyesterReal GeniusBarfly Coming to AmericaBody Double Au Revoir Les EnfantsMystery TrainLost in AmericaStranger Than ParadiseThis Is Spinal TapBrazilThe Year of Living DangerouslyVideodromeParis TexasMidnight RunMarried to the MobA Little RomanceUsed CarsSome Kind of WonderfulThe obscure/widely forgotten:Roadgames PatrickRazorbackNight of the CometMiracle MileSocietyLust in the DustThe StuffInto the NightTurkey Shoot Sleepaway Camp (one of the best slasher franchises, even the increasingly dopey sequels are fun)The Last American VirginEnemy Territory (if you like Judgment Night, FFS track this down)Guilty pleasures:Great Balls of FireMystic Pizza CobraMy Bloody ValentineSilent Night, Deadly Night Dream a Little DreamFirestarterHoward the DuckCan't Buy Me Love Overboard Edited October 12, 2014 by Angelica

RandallFlagg
Yeah the movie is good and all, but I just wish it was more like the book. The book is almost like the decor to the film's structure, it's an extremely cold and cryptic interpretation, both are stone wall classics for very different reasons, I guess Kubrick used the narrative for his own purposes. I actually found the hedge animals 'in' the film, they appear as ornaments and pictures at various points throughout, I highly doubt someone as meticulous as Kubrick would include props for 'filling up the room' reasons. I still haven't figured out what the hell he meant with the ending. I really admire the film despite how it lacks the depth and complexities of the novel, it's probably based on 25% of King's story but that in itself takes some balls to go gung ho into.
